Mido Multifort 8 One Crown Goes Stealth With New Black PVD Edition
Mido continues to expand its contemporary integrated sports watch collection with a new all-black version of the Multifort 8 One Crown. Following the successful introduction of the model last year, the latest addition embraces a monochromatic aesthetic, combining the collection’s angular architecture with a black PVD-coated case, matching rubber strap and textured dial.

The new release retains the clean, minimalist approach that distinguishes the One Crown from the earlier Two Crown variant, resulting in a more versatile everyday sports watch while preserving the bold character inspired by integrated bracelet designs of the 1970s.
Angular Design With A Technical Personality
The Multifort 8 One Crown is housed in a 40 mm stainless steel case with a black PVD coating that measures 9.90 mm thick and spans 44.86 mm lug-to-lug, making it relatively compact despite its sporty appearance. Water resistance remains at 100 metres, aided by a screw-down crown positioned at 3 o’clock.

Its defining feature is the combination of a tonneau-shaped case with an octagonal bezel, whose alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces create an attractive interplay of light despite the stealthy black finish. The integrated profile reinforces the watch’s sporty character while maintaining elegant proportions suitable for everyday wear.
Textured Dial With Improved Legibility
Unlike the Multifort 8 Two Crown, which incorporates an internal rotating bezel, the One Crown adopts a simpler dial layout. The removal of the second crown and internal timing scale creates a cleaner display, allowing the textured dial to take centre stage.

The matte black dial features the collection’s signature horizontal embossed pattern, complemented by applied baton hour markers generously filled with Super-LumiNova. The broad hour and minute hands also receive luminous treatment, while the polished central seconds hand adds a subtle visual contrast. A practical date window at 3 o’clock completes the display with a white date disc for enhanced readability.
Rubber Strap Completes The Monochrome Look
Instead of an integrated steel bracelet, the new model is paired with a black rubber strap featuring a central horizontal texture that echoes the dial pattern. The strap integrates seamlessly with the case and benefits from a quick-release system, allowing owners to swap straps without tools.
Proven Calibre 80 Movement
Powering the Multifort 8 One Crown is Mido’s reliable Calibre 80, based on the well-known ETA architecture. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, the automatic movement delivers an impressive 80-hour power reserve, making it practical for weekend-off wear.

The movement is also equipped with a Nivachron balance spring, improving resistance to magnetic fields and shocks while reinforcing the Multifort collection’s reputation as a dependable daily companion.
Availability And Price
The new Mido Multifort 8 One Crown Black PVD joins the existing collection as its darkest and most contemporary interpretation. Combining a slim profile, integrated sports watch styling and a dependable automatic movement, it offers a compelling package for those seeking a modern everyday watch with a distinctive aesthetic.

The watch is priced at € 1,100.
