King Seiko Expands The KSK Line With Beams Collaboration SDKA025

To mark the 50th anniversary of Japanese retailer Beams, King Seiko has unveiled the KSK SDKA025, a limited-edition model that expands the modern King Seiko lineup with collaboration-specific design elements while remaining faithful to the collection’s sharp, architectural identity.

The watch features a black dial finished with a stamped radial pattern designed to evoke rays of light extending from the center, a subtle nod to the Beams name. This textured surface enhances visual depth and changes character depending on the angle of light.

Gold-toned hands and applied hour markers provide contrast against the dark dial. The hands follow the classic KSK profile with pronounced facets, while the markers echo the angular geometry found throughout the King Seiko collection. A framed date window is positioned at 3 o’clock, adjacent to the crown, integrating the date display cleanly into the dial layout without disrupting symmetry.

The stainless steel case is based on the KSK design originally introduced in the 1960s and reintroduced by Seiko in recent years. Measuring 38.60 mm in diameter, this edition sits on the larger side of the KSK range. Despite this, the watch benefits from a slimmer profile, made possible by the use of the 6L35 automatic movement.

Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), the 6L35 offers a power reserve of approximately 45 hours. Its relatively thin construction contributes to the refined proportions of the case while delivering reliable mechanical performance.

Completing the watch is a stainless steel bracelet inspired by vintage King Seiko models from the 1960s. The bracelet features sharply defined links with a combination of polished surfaces and crisp edges, reinforcing the angular design language of the case.
