Doxa continues to expand its line of accessible diving watches with a new collaboration with Caribbean retailer Art of Time. Following the SUB 200 Azure released in 2023, which captured the vibrant spirit of the sea, the latest edition shifts its inspiration to the shoreline. The result is the Doxa SUB 200 Dune, a watch designed to reflect the warmth and texture of sunlit beaches.

 

Case and Construction

The SUB 200 Dune maintains the dimensions of the SUB 200 collection, with a 42 mm stainless steel case, 13.80 mm thickness, and a lug-to-lug of 46 mm. Its profile is enhanced by brushed surfaces, polished bevels, and lyre-shaped lugs, giving it a balanced presence on the wrist. Built for aquatic reliability, the watch features a screw-down crown, a solid screw-down caseback, and a water resistance of 200 meters.

A distinguishing feature of this edition is its engraved steel caseback, depicting a Caribbean map finished with blue laser oxidation, emphasizing its exclusive connection to Art of Time.

 

Bezel and Dial

The watch is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel fitted with a black sapphire insert. The 60-minute diving scale is highlighted with sand-beige Super-LumiNova, ensuring visibility in low-light conditions.

The dial is the true highlight of the SUB 200 Dune. It introduces a sand-grain texture in a gradient warm beige to bronze tone, designed to evoke the shifting colors of coastal dunes under sunlight. The applied markers and hands are filled with beige luminous material for legibility, while the hands are finished in black to provide strong contrast against the dial’s sandy backdrop.

 

Movement

Inside the watch is the reliable Sellita SW200 automatic movement, running at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 38-hour power reserve. Known for its robustness and straightforward servicing, the movement supports the tool-watch character of the SUB 200.

 

Straps and Options

The SUB 200 Dune is delivered with two strap options, a stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet with folding clasp and dive suit extension, and  an additional black rubber strap, offering a versatile alternative for different settings.
