Doxa returns to Dubai Watch Week with a striking new interpretation of its modern dive watch line: the SUB 300 Beta Ceramic Dubai Watch Week 2025 Special Edition. Created in partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, this ultra-limited release blends the brand’s historic diving pedigree with contemporary materials and a vivid colour palette designed to stand out both underwater and on land.

Ceramic Case Construction With Professional-Grade Specs

The special edition keeps the recognisable SUB 300 Beta silhouette, measuring 42.50 mm in diameter, 44.50 mm lug-to-lug, and just under 12 mm in height. For this release, Doxa replaces traditional steel with matte black ceramic across the case, unidirectional bezel, and crown. This material not only enhances scratch resistance but also provides a stealthy look that pairs well with the red accents. A titanium inner container and a screw-down caseback maintain the watch’s capabilities as a true dive instrument, offering 300 metres of water resistance.

A Bold Cherry Red Dial Built for Visibility

One of the defining elements of this special edition is its sunburst cherry red dial. Legibility remains a core priority: black hands and applied markers filled with white Super-LumiNova ensure clarity in murky waters or low light.

The cherry-red theme continues on the outer minute track and on the calibrated markings of the ceramic bezel. Doxa maintains its signature dual-scale bezel layout—dive time (minutes) on the inner ring and depth (feet) on the outside—plus a luminescent pip at 12 o’clock for monitoring elapsed time during dives.

COSC-Certified Swiss Automatic Movement

Inside the watch beats the COSC-certified Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement. Operating at 28,800 vph, it delivers hacking seconds and a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. Known for its reliability and ease of service, the calibre is a practical choice for a professional-grade diver.

Straps and Limited Availability

The SUB 300 Beta Ceramic Dubai Watch Week 2025 edition is delivered on a black FKM rubber strap equipped with a black PVD deployant clasp. The clasp includes a wetsuit extension and is signed with Doxa’s iconic fish emblem. A grey NATO strap is also included, offering an alternative look for more casual wear.

Unveiled earlier this year at Watches and Wonders Geneva, the Ulysse Nardin Diver [AIR] set a new benchmark as the world’s lightest mechanical dive watch. We had the opportunity to try it out firsthand, and its weight — or rather, the lack of it — is truly remarkable. Now, Ulysse Nardin introduces a vibrant new iteration: the Diver [Air] Seddiqi, a special edition created in collaboration with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons to celebrate the retailer’s 75th anniversary.

A Collaboration Celebrating Innovation

Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, a cornerstone of luxury watch retail in the Middle East, marks its 75th anniversary with a series of collaborations featuring some of the industry’s most respected brands. Ulysse Nardin’s contribution stands out for its combination of cutting-edge materials, contemporary design, and exceptional lightness.

Design and Color Highlights

The Diver [Air] Seddiqi injects a bold vibrant blue theme into the minimalist Diver [AIR] design. The vivid blue tone can be found on the minute track, crown guards, seconds hand tip, and bezel markers, creating a striking contrast against the monochromatic structure.

These elements are enhanced with Super-LumiNova, allowing them to glow brightly in the dark — a functional and aesthetic nod to Ulysse Nardin’s diving heritage.

On the reverse side, the sapphire caseback reveals a blue Ulysse Nardin anchor logo on the rotor and a special 75th-anniversary emblem honoring Seddiqi’s milestone, adding a personal and commemorative touch.

Despite its robust 44 mm case and 200-meter water resistance, the Diver [Air] Seddiqi remains astonishingly light, with the watch head weighing only 46 grams. This achievement is made possible by Ulysse Nardin’s use of recycled titanium, carbon fiber, and upcycled fishing nets.

Powering the watch is the in-house Caliber UN-374 automatic movement, an ultra-skeletonized caliber that operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and delivers an impressive 90-hour power reserve. The bridges and main plate are crafted from recycled titanium, while the silicon balance spring and escapement ensure precision, efficiency, and resistance to magnetic fields.

The Diver Air Seddiqi comes with two straps. The first is an ultra-light elastic fabric strap in vibrant blue, weighing less than 6 grams, perfectly complementing the watch’s color theme. The second is a white rubber strap with a titanium clasp — the first rubber option offered for the Diver [Air] — combining durability with comfort.

This exclusive edition is limited to just 30 pieces and available exclusively through Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons. While pricing has not been disclosed, it is expected to be slightly above the standard Diver [Air], which retails for approximately USD 38,000.

Today, we turn to a very different interpretation of the same milestone: the new Doxa SUB 250 Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary Limited Edition. Where Gerald Charles paid tribute with elegance and artistry, Doxa brings its tool-watch DNA to the celebration, highlighting the other side of watchmaking—robust, functional, and ready for adventure.

A First for the SUB 250 Line

This release marks the first time the SUB 250 has appeared as a time-only model. Until now, the SUB 250 name was reserved for the GMT version, positioned between the SUB 300 and the SUB 200T. By introducing this special edition, Doxa adds a compact yet fully capable diver to the family, setting the tone for future variations.

Case and Bezel Design

Built for purpose, the case is crafted from 316L stainless steel in Doxa’s cushion shape, measuring 40mm across, 42.9mm lug-to-lug, and just under 12mm in height. The watch is secured with a screw-down crown and caseback, flat sapphire crystal, and delivers water resistance up to 250 meters.

Its unidirectional rotating bezel features Doxa’s signature no-decompression dive scale, here enhanced with Eastern Arabic numerals—an exclusive regional detail. The caseback engraving proudly displays “75” alongside the words “Where Legacy Meets Luxury,” tying the watch directly to the anniversary it commemorates.

The cherry-red sunray dial makes an immediate statement, echoing Dubai’s fiery horizons. To mark its 75th anniversary, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons has collaborated with Gérald Charles on a highly limited special edition: the Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin Tiger’s Eye. Unveiled as part of the celebrations at Dubai Watch Week 2025, this striking creation is produced in just 20 pieces and combines Gérald Genta’s legendary design language with the rare beauty of natural stone.

Iconic Case Design

The Maestro case, a hallmark of Gérald Charles, remains one of the most distinctive contributions of Gérald Genta’s late career. Its asymmetrical yet balanced shape — an octagon with a round bottom and a stepped bezel — gives the watch immediate recognition.

For this Seddiqi edition, the stainless steel case features the brand’s proprietary Brown Colormix finish, which enriches the surface with subtle warmth and depth. Measuring 39 mm by 41 mm and just 9 mm thick, the case is impressively slim. A screw-down crown with Clous de Paris detailing ensures both functionality and style, while reinforced gaskets secure water resistance to 100 metres. Flat sapphire crystals on both front and back preserve the slim profile without compromising durability.

Through the sapphire crystal caseback, the decoration is revealed—Côtes de Genève, perlage, and colimaçon finishes showcasing the fine Swiss craftsmanship.
