Nivada Grenchen Chronoking Racing II Arrives in Five Colourways
Nivada Grenchen expands its motorsport-inspired lineup with the introduction of the new Chronoking Racing II, a retro-styled chronograph that blends authentic 1960s aesthetics with modern practicality. Positioned as an accessible alternative within the brand’s growing collection, the new model retains the distinctive character of the original Chronoking while introducing a refreshed dial design and the brand’s innovative interchangeable bezel system.
A Familiar Vintage-Inspired Case
The Chronoking Racing II comes housed in a stainless steel case measuring 38 mm in diameter and 13 mm thick, dimensions that closely reflect vintage chronographs from the 1960s. The compact case features polished and brushed finishes, classic pump-style chronograph pushers and a signed fluted crown, reinforcing its period-correct appearance.

Owners can choose between a traditional beads-of-rice stainless steel bracelet or a black perforated leather strap, both complementing the watch’s racing-inspired personality.
Exotic Dial With Motorsport Heritage
The biggest visual update arrives on the dial. Nivada Grenchen adopts the well-known “exotic” subdial layout, characterized by square-tipped markers inside the registers—a design famously associated with some of the most collectible racing chronographs of the 1960s.

While often linked to the iconic “Paul Newman” Daytona, this dial configuration was originally produced by Singer for several Swiss manufacturers, making it an authentic part of Nivada Grenchen’s own historical design language.
Beyond the revised subdials, the Chronoking Racing II also receives a wider chapter ring for improved legibility, simpler applied baton hour markers., a slimmer central chronograph seconds hand, three recessed registers featuring a small seconds display at 6 o’clock, a 60-minute chronograph counter at 9 o’clock and a 24-hour indicator at 3 o’clock.
Seiko Meca-Quartz Movement
Powering the watch is the reliable Seiko VK63 meca-quartz calibre. The movement combines quartz accuracy for timekeeping with a mechanical chronograph module, providing a crisp, mechanical-style activation of the chronograph while maintaining the convenience and affordability of quartz technology.
Interchangeable “City Track” Bezels
One of the Chronoking Racing II’s most distinctive features is its tool-free interchangeable bezel system, first introduced by the brand in recent years.

Each watch is delivered with five interchangeable bezels, allowing owners to quickly change the appearance of the watch without any tools.
These bezels feature Nivada Grenchen’s City Track design, pairing a 60-minute scale with the names of 12 cities representing different time zones, adding both visual variety and a practical world-time reference. Since every watch includes the complete bezel set, owners are free to mix bezel colours with any dial configuration.
Five Racing-Inspired Colourways
The Chronoking Racing II debuts in five different colourways, each drawing inspiration from the vibrant liveries of 1960s racing cars. Buyers can choose between a striking Black and Burgundy version, a monochromatic Blue edition, a sporty Black and Blue combination, a rich Green variant or a refreshing Ice Blue execution.

The shared bezel set across all references makes it possible to create numerous combinations, giving each watch a highly customizable appearance.
Availability and Price
The new Nivada Grenchen Chronoking Racing II is available now with prices starting at € 640 on the perforated leather strap and € 840 on the stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet.
