TAG Heuer’s Carrera Chronograph In Bold Green Europe Exclusive
The latest TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph 42mm Limited Edition, exclusive to Europe, affirms that green is the dominant trend in luxury watches, a colour that gained immense popularity last year. This edition boasts a stunning green dial paired with brown and yellow accents, offering a fresh contemporary design. Unlike its predecessors, it doesn’t feature the retro Glassbox case but instead presents sharper angles, polished surfaces, and brushed flanks, making for a modern and sleek aesthetic.
The watch’s sunburst dial showcases a traditional Tri-Compax layout, with two raised brown chronograph registers. The 30-minute counter is positioned at 3 o’clock, while the 12-hour recorder sits at 9 o’clock. There is also a running second and a date window located at 6 o’clock. The applied hour markers, along with hands filled with Super-LumiNova and yellow tips, offer excellent legibility. The minute and second chapter ring and a yellow chronograph centre seconds hand add to its distinctive look. The dial is completed with the inscription “Carrera” at noon, followed by the embossed brand shield.
Crafted from stainless steel, the case measures 42mm in diameter, 14.50mm thick, and 48.20mm in length. It features a smooth bezel, sapphire glass, and a fluted crown flanked by two pump-style pushers. The watch also offers 100-meter water resistance and a screwed-open case back.
One significant change in this model is its movement. The watch is now powered by the in-house automatic movement TH20-00, replacing the iconic Caliber Heuer 02. This new movement, based on the previous one, operates at 28,800 Vph and offers an impressive 80-hour power reserve. It includes a column wheel and showcases a skeletonized rotor shaped like the brand’s logo, alongside Côtes de Genève stripes on the bridges, adding to the watch’s elegance.
This limited edition, restricted to just 600 units for the European market, comes with a perforated brown leather strap, complete with a folding clasp. The price for this exclusive timepiece is set at €6,200.
