TAG Heuer Unveils Three New Monaco Models For The 2025 Monaco Grand Prix
For the 2025 edition of the Monaco Grand Prix, TAG Heuer expands its iconic Monaco collection with three new releases. In conjunction with LVMH’s inaugural year as a global sponsor of Formula 1, these timepieces celebrate the brand’s long-standing ties to motorsport with a strong focus on advanced materials, historic references, and modern chronograph technology.
TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch – A Nod to Heritage Timing
Limited to 970 pieces, the new TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch draws direct design inspiration from Heuer’s historic split-second pocket chronographs. Housed in a 39 mm x 15 mm DLC-coated titanium case, the watch is lightweight yet robust, well-suited for both daily wear and professional timing applications.

The dial features a dual-tone layout, with a matte black central section contrasted by a silver opaline outer ring. Red accents on the outer track and chronograph hand echo the color scheme of vintage stopwatches. The black-gold facetted hands and indices are filled with blue Super-LumiNova for enhanced low-light legibility.

Inside, the watch is powered by the Caliber 11 automatic chronograph movement, offering hours, minutes, small seconds, a 30-minute counter, and date complication. It provides a 42-hour power reserve. Retail price is set at CHF 9,600.
TAG Heuer, Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch, CAW218F.FC6356. Black and white dial, Grade 2 titanium case with a black DLC coating, 39 mm diameter, 15 mm thickness, sapphire crystal both sides, 100 meters water resistance. Black calfskin leather strap with a DLC titanium folding clasp. Calibre 11, automatic movement, hour, minutes, small seconds, date, chronograph, 28,800 Vph, 59 jewels, 40 hours of power reserve. Price: € 9,650, limited to 970 pieces.
TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph – Advanced Materials and Precision Engineering
The new Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph introduces a case made from TH-Titanium, a proprietary alloy developed by TAG Heuer’s research lab. The case and movement components exhibit a unique heat-treated pattern that gives the surface a camouflaged texture. The entire watch, including strap and buckle, weighs just 86 grams—a testament to its ultra-light construction. The movement alone weighs only 30 grams.

This split-seconds chronograph runs at 36,000 vibrations per hour (vph) and delivers a 65-hour power reserve. The skeletonized dial reveals the intricate mechanism beneath, accented with neon lime green elements that highlight its modern racing DNA. Price: CHF 145,000.

TAG Heuer, Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph, CBW2185.FC8350. Sapphire dial with lime neon accents, TH-Titanium case, 41 mm diameter, 15.20 mm thickness, sapphire crystal both sides, 30 meters water resistance. Price: € 145,000, limited to 10 pieces.
TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph x Gulf – A Tribute to Racing Legacy
Continuing the brand’s partnership with Gulf Oil, TAG Heuer presents the Monaco Chronograph x Gulf, limited to 971 pieces, referencing the 1971 release of the Le Mans film in which Steve McQueen famously wore a Monaco while driving a Gulf-liveried Porsche 917.

This edition features a sandblasted grade 2 titanium case and a folding clasp. The dial is silver with a fine-grain texture that appears white under light. It prominently features the Gulf logo along with the iconic blue and orange racing stripes. Rhodium-plated hands and indices add a refined touch, and the watch shares the same movement and dimensions as the Stopwatch model. Price: CHF 9,300.

TAG Heuer, Monaco Chronograph × Gulf, CAW218G.EB0393. Silver dial with black counters, Grade 2 titanium case, 39 mm diameter, 15 mm thickness, sapphire crystal both sides, 100 meters water resistance. Final Thoughts
The trio of new Monaco editions showcases TAG Heuer’s multifaceted approach to watchmaking in motorsport—balancing vintage influences, technical innovation, and iconic racing partnerships.
If we had to choose one, despite being a die-hard fans of vintage watches, this time we would choose the new Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph. Its grey camouflage case contrasting with the neon lime accents definitely gives it a cool look. It’s a striking example of how modern materials and design can redefine a classic silhouette while keeping its racing heritage alive.
