TAG Heuer Unveils Formula 1 Solargraph x Indy 500 Limited Edition

TAG Heuer marks the 110th anniversary of the iconic Indianapolis 500 with the introduction of the new TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph x Indy 500, a special edition timepiece inspired by one of the most historic races in motorsport.

Held annually at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the legendary 500-mile race returns on May 24, bringing together 33 drivers for one of motorsport’s most demanding competitions. The new Formula 1 Solargraph combines racing-inspired styling with lightweight construction and solar-powered technology in a package created to honour the milestone occasion.

Motorsport-Inspired Design

The watch is housed in a 38 mm sandblasted stainless steel case matched with a three-link steel bracelet, maintaining the sporty profile introduced in TAG Heuer’s latest Solargraph models.

One of the standout details is the black TH-Polylight rotating bezel featuring a brown 60-minute scale inspired by the colours of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s flying wheel logo. The combination of black and brown tones gives the watch a distinctive retro-racing character while preserving the bold Formula 1 identity.

A Dial With Racing Character

The dial continues the same colour scheme with a black central surface and a brown outer minute track framing the applied hour markers. TAG Heuer’s signature shield-shaped indices appear at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock, while a date window balances the layout at 3 o’clock.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway logo is positioned above 6 o’clock, reinforcing the connection to the historic race. Completing the sporty look are the Mercedes-style hour and minute hands alongside a bright red central seconds hand that adds a vibrant racing-inspired contrast.

Solargraph Movement Technology

Inside the watch beats the TAG Heuer Calibre TH50-00 Solargraph movement, a solar-powered quartz calibre designed for convenience and efficiency.

The movement recharges using both natural and artificial light, offering a highly practical ownership experience. According to the brand, just one minute of direct sunlight provides enough energy for 24 hours of operation, while a full charge delivers up to 10 months of autonomy.

This eliminates the need for frequent battery replacements and makes the watch especially suited for daily wear.

Limited To 1,110 Pieces

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph x Indy 500 will be limited to 1,110 examples worldwide, a number chosen to honour the 110th anniversary of the Indy 500.

Priced at € 2,200, the limited edition further strengthens TAG Heuer’s long-standing connection with the world of motorsport while expanding its growing Solargraph collection.
