TAG Heuer Presents the New Connected x Porsche Edition
Today, following the partnership established in 2021 between TAG Heuer and Porsche, the new TAG Heuer Connected Caliber E4 – Porsche Edition is launched, inspired by the design of the Porsche Taycan, the first model of the German brand full electric collection, which comes with the exclusive Wear OS features for Porsche owners where information from their car is displayed directly on the watch face.
And if the watch inside and out (in its software) is inspired by the exterior design of the Porsche Taycan with clear evidence of its frozen blue hues, its strap evokes the interior design of the car, in carbon-like black calfskin with blue stitching, with a rubber construction base that gives it a comfortable and sporty use, and it comes with interchangeable features.
The new watch is presented on the outside, in a 45mm black titanium case with a sandblasted finish, a black ceramic polished bezel with a car speed scale from “zero” to 400. The black steel crown is surrounded by black rubber and engraved with the brand shield and two elongated pushers, all with blue shade details. The titanium case back is engraved with ‘TAG Heuer x Porsche’. Its display has clear improvements compared to previous generations, namely the brighter screen, better contrast, and longer battery life (up to 30%).
Inside, the TAG Heuer Connected Caliber E4 – Porsche Edition not only comes with an exclusive watch face, ‘Circuit’, only available to owners of the watch, but it also adds four new complications. The first shows how much is left in the car’s battery, and works with both all-electric Porsche models and plug-in hybrids. The second shows off ‘car autonomy’ information, displaying how many kilometres remain before the car’s battery or gas runs out. The third is a shortcut to the Wear OS My Porsche app which enables users to quickly control their vehicle heating and air conditioning. The last complication shows the total mileage driven in the car.
All these features are available to Porsche Taycan owners, as well as a range of compatible models including the Panamera (G2 II models from 2022 onwards), Panamera (G2), 911 (992 models from 2022 onwards), 911, Cayenne (E3 models from 2022 onwards), Cayenne (E2 II), 718, Macan II/III and Macan.
