TAG Heuer Introduces The Formula 1 Automatic Chronograph x Gulf Limited Edition
TAG Heuer expands its long-running partnership with Gulf with the launch of the new Formula 1 Automatic Chronograph x Gulf, a limited edition that combines the brand’s contemporary motorsport chronograph with the unmistakable blue and orange colours associated with the famous racing sponsor.
The watch adopts the latest Formula 1 Automatic Chronograph architecture, pairing lightweight materials with a bold and highly technical appearance inspired by modern motorsport.
A Dial Inspired by Motorsport Heritage
Its black opaline dial serves as the backdrop for the signature Gulf livery, with vertical light blue and orange stripes positioned on the right side of the display and extending onto the rehaut where the seconds scale is printed. Orange details continue throughout the dial, appearing on the chronograph hands and selected markings, while the running seconds hand is finished in blue to complement the racing theme.

The applied hour markers are rhodium-plated and filled with white Super-LumiNova to ensure legibility in low-light conditions. The skeletonised central hour and minute hands feature black lacquered surfaces and luminescent inserts near their tips. At 3 o’clock, a white date window with black numerals integrates neatly into the dial layout.
Protecting the display is a flat sapphire crystal treated with an anti-reflective coating for improved readability.
Lightweight Titanium Case with Carbon Details
The 44 mm case is crafted from sandblasted Grade 2 titanium, helping to reduce weight while maintaining durability. The fixed tachymeter bezel is made from forged carbon, introducing additional texture and reinforcing the watch’s sporting character. A subtle Gulf detail is positioned near the 12 o’clock marker on the bezel, while an orange case joint between the bezel and mid-case adds a contrasting visual element.

The chronograph pushers and screw-down crown are also produced in Grade 2 titanium and receive a black DLC coating. The crown is further distinguished by an orange lacquer accent that echoes the colour scheme found throughout the watch.
A screw-down crown and solid titanium caseback contribute to the 200-metre water-resistance rating, making the watch suitable for both everyday wear and sporting activities. The caseback features engravings of the TAG Heuer and Gulf logos alongside the model specifications.
Integrated Titanium Bracelet
Unlike several versions of the current Formula 1 Automatic Chronograph collection that are delivered on rubber straps, this edition comes fitted with an integrated Grade 2 titanium bracelet. The bracelet features the same sandblasted finish as the case and is equipped with a folding clasp incorporating double safety push-buttons and an extension link for easier adjustment.

Powered by the Calibre 16
Driving the watch is the automatic Calibre 16 movement, based on the proven Valjoux 7750 architecture. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement provides approximately 48 hours of power reserve and offers chronograph timing up to 12 hours in addition to the standard time and date functions.
