TAG Heuer Celebrates Goodwood’s Legendary Hillclimb With A New Formula 1 Chronograph
TAG Heuer continues its partnership with one of Britain’s most celebrated motorsport events with the introduction of the new Formula 1 Chronograph x Goodwood Festival of Speed. Created to mark the 2026 edition of the famous automotive gathering, the limited-edition chronograph combines the brand’s racing heritage with design cues inspired by the legendary hillclimb event held annually at Goodwood House in West Sussex.
Built for Motorsport Timing
The new Formula 1 Chronograph is housed in a substantial 44 mm stainless steel case, emphasizing legibility and functionality. The generous dimensions provide ample space for the chronograph display, ensuring quick readability in high-speed environments.

Surrounding the dial is a fixed green ceramic bezel featuring an oversized tachymeter scale. The bold typography reinforces the watch’s motorsport-focused character while offering practical speed-measuring functionality.
The ceramic tachymeter bezel also features a shield-shaped marker outlined in red at the 12 o’clock position. This red accent is echoed by the rings surrounding the crown and the chronograph start/stop pusher at 2 o’clock, reinforcing the watch’s sporty character.
British Racing Green Dial
A standout feature of the watch is its British Racing Green dial, a color closely associated with the United Kingdom’s rich motorsport tradition. The dial features a sunray-brushed finish that creates changing reflections under different lighting conditions.

Contrasting white chronograph registers enhance readability, while red accents add a sporting touch. The sub-dials are decorated with an azurage finish, providing additional texture and depth to the display.
The chronograph layout follows a vertical tricompax configuration, with the 30-minute counter positioned at 12 o’clock and the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock. A small seconds display sits at 9 o’clock, while a date aperture is integrated at 3 o’clock alongside the TAG Heuer and Formula 1 branding.
Further enhancing the racing-inspired aesthetic, all three chronograph hands are finished in red. The central chronograph seconds hand is distinguished by a skeletonized counterweight shaped like TAG Heuer’s iconic shield logo, adding another subtle brand signature to the design.
A Tribute to Goodwood’s Hillclimb Record
One of the most distinctive details of this special edition can be found on the minute track. The 39-second marker is highlighted in red, commemorating the current Goodwood Festival of Speed hillclimb record of 39.08 seconds, set in 2022 by Max Chilton driving the McMurtry Spéirling.

This subtle detail directly connects the watch to the festival and distinguishes it from standard Formula 1 Chronograph models.
Powered by the Calibre 16
Inside, the watch is equipped with TAG Heuer’s Calibre 16 automatic chronograph movement. Based on a proven Sellita architecture, the movement provides automatic winding and a power reserve of approximately 48 hours.

The movement is concealed behind a solid stainless steel caseback engraved with a Goodwood Festival of Speed motif. The caseback also carries the “One of 500” inscription, emphasizing the watch’s limited-production status.
Bracelet
Completing the package is a stainless steel three-link bracelet secured by a folding clasp, providing durability and comfort for everyday wear while maintaining the watch’s robust motorsport-oriented appearance.

Availability and Price
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph x Goodwood Festival of Speed is a UK-exclusive limited edition and is available for a retail price of GBP 4,250. Like the caseback inscription indicates, production is limited to just 500 pieces worldwide.
