British microbrand Studio Underd0g expands its popular 01Series collection with two vibrant new chronographs: the Av0cado and Guacam0le. These additions bring a fresh palette to the brand’s creative design approach, emphasizing colorful dial work paired with reliable mechanics.

A Bold Color Expression

The Av0cado model showcases a layered green and yellow dial that mimics the natural gradient found in the fruit it’s named after. A standout feature is the 30-minute chronograph subdial, designed in rich brown with three distinct tonal segments marking each 10-minute interval—an inventive visual twist on traditional chrono layouts.

The Guacam0le variant follows suit with a brighter, more saturated green tone throughout, referencing the popular Mexican dip in both color and concept. Both dials exhibit Studio Underd0g’s signature flair for food-inspired themes, executed with remarkable attention to detail.

A Response to Homage Designs

According to the brand, the release of these models is also a tongue-in-cheek response to recent homage designs that have appeared on the market. Rather than pursuing legal channels, Studio Underd0g chose to creatively reclaim the concept and reinforce its position with original, high-quality execution.

Classic Chronograph Architecture

At the heart of both models is a hand-wound mechanical movement, the Seagull ST-1901B, chosen for its reliability and visual appeal. The movement features column wheel chronograph control, a trait often found in higher-end watchmaking, and is visible through the exhibition caseback.

Encased in 38.50 mm stainless steel, the watches retain the original proportions that made the 01Series a fan favorite—wearable, balanced, and slightly retro in aesthetic. The case is paired with double-domed sapphire crystal for durability and clarity.

Refined Strap Pairing

Completing the package are premium Italian Epsom leather straps, sourced from The Strap Tailor. Available in either black or dark green, these 20 mm straps complement the dial tones while ensuring comfort and quality on the wrist.

Availability and Pricing

Both the Av0cado and Guacam0le will be available for a limited-time pre-order window on May 8th, from 15:00 to 00:00 BST, exclusively through underd0g.com. Each model is priced at € 600, continuing Studio Underd0g’s mission of accessible pricing without compromising on originality or quality.
