Steel Meets Rose Gold In The New Multifort 8 One Crown
Mido expands its contemporary integrated sports watch collection with a new two-tone interpretation of the Multifort 8 One Crown. Combining stainless steel with rose gold PVD accents, this latest reference introduces a more refined aesthetic to the geometric design language first presented in January 2026.
While the architecture, dimensions and movement remain unchanged from the debut steel models, the updated colour scheme gives the watch a distinct presence within the collection.
A Quick Refresher: The Multifort 8 One Crown Concept
Unveiled at the beginning of 2026, the Multifort 8 One Crown streamlined the earlier Multifort 8 design by adopting a single screw-down crown positioned at 3 o’clock and removing the internal rotating bezel found on the Two Crowns version.

The watch is housed in a 40 mm stainless steel case with a compact 44.86 mm lug-to-lug measurement, made possible by its integrated construction. This architecture allows the watch to sit comfortably on the wrist despite its strong geometric profile. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres, and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides protects the dial. Around the dial sits a faceted octagonal bezel that defines the model’s angular character, while the exhibition case back reveals the automatic movement inside.
Two-Tone Case and Integrated Bracelet
The new variant introduces rose gold PVD plating applied to key elements of the stainless steel case and extending through the central links of the integrated bracelet. The contrast between brushed steel surfaces and warm rose gold tones highlights the sharp lines of the octagonal bezel and reinforces the watch’s architectural aesthetic.

Despite the more luxurious execution, functionality remains unchanged. The integrated bracelet retains its quick-release system for tool-free strap changes and secures to the wrist with a folding clasp, preserving the everyday practicality of the original steel versions.
Black Dial with Gilt Accents
Complementing the two-tone exterior is a black dial enhanced by gilt accents that mirror the rose gold tones of the case and bracelet. The horizontal texturing first seen on the January 2026 releases remains intact, adding depth and structure without overwhelming the layout.

Applied hour markers are outlined in warm gold tones, while the tri-faceted hour and minute hands are filled with Super-LumiNova for low-light visibility. A central seconds hand sweeps across the dial, and the framed date window at 3 o’clock integrates neatly into the overall design. The minute and seconds track is positioned on an outer flange, maintaining a clean and balanced central display.
Calibre 80 Automatic Movement
Powering the watch is Mido’s Calibre 80, based on the ETA C07.611 architecture. The automatic movement operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3Hz) and delivers an extended power reserve of 80 hours, making it well suited for daily wear or rotation within a collection.

Visible through the sapphire case back, the movement features a signed rotor decorated with Côtes de Genève. It provides central hours, minutes, hacking seconds and a date function, consistent with the specifications of the steel models introduced earlier this year.
Price and Positioning
The new two-tone Multifort 8 One Crown is priced at CHF 960, representing a CHF 120 premium over its stainless steel siblings fitted with integrated bracelets.

By maintaining the established case dimensions, dial layout and movement while introducing steel and rose gold contrast, Mido expands the Multifort 8 One Crown collection with a more elevated aesthetic option that remains grounded in the technical foundation of the original 2026 release.
