Smaller, Cleaner, Better: The New Frederique Constant Classic Worldtimer Manufacture
At this year’s Watches and Wonders, Frederique Constant unveiled a refined evolution of its in-house worldtimer, focusing on improved proportions, a cleaner dial layout, and enhanced mechanical performance.
A More Compact and Balanced Case
One of the key updates is the reduction in case size to 40 mm, making the watch more versatile and wearable across a wider range of wrists. With a thickness of 12.53 mm and a three-part construction, the case maintains a solid presence while offering balanced proportions suitable for daily wear.

Dial Redesign: Cleaner and More Legible
The dial has been carefully reworked to prioritize clarity and visual balance. By removing the date subdial, the layout becomes more symmetrical and less cluttered, allowing the worldtime display to stand out more clearly. At the center, a raised world map introduces depth, while the applied hour markers positioned above it add an additional layer of dimension. Surrounding this, the city ring and 24-hour scale remain highly legible, ensuring the watch retains its practical functionality while improving overall readability.

Three Distinct Blue-Toned Variants
The collection is presented in three variations, each exploring different shades and finishes of blue. The first core model features a classic sunray-brushed navy dial, where dark blue oceans are paired with grey-toned continents and a matching city ring. This version is delivered on a newly designed five-link stainless steel bracelet, reinforcing its more traditional appeal.

The second core model adopts a more contemporary look, with lighter fumé blue oceans contrasted by taupe continents and a white city disc. This creates a softer and more modern aesthetic, and it is paired with a strap rather than a bracelet.
Completing the lineup is a more luxurious interpretation in pale light blue, distinguished by a gem-set configuration. This limited edition features 70 diamonds set on the bezel, while the hour markers are replaced by 12 diamond indexes, offering a more refined and decorative approach. This version is limited to 88 pieces.
In-House Movement with Extended Performance
At the heart of the watch is the FC-719 automatic caliber, equipped with an in-house worldtimer module composed of 24 components. The movement is finished with traditional decorative techniques such as Côtes de Genève and perlage, reflecting the brand’s attention to detail.

A significant technical improvement comes in the form of an extended power reserve, now reaching 72 hours, a notable increase compared to previous versions. Despite the mechanical upgrades and reduced case size, the watch maintains its user-friendly functionality, with all worldtime adjustments controlled exclusively via the crown.
Pricing and Availability
The two core models are priced at approximately € 4,995, while the gem-set limited edition, restricted to 88 pieces, is priced at around € 7,995.
