Sinn Marks 65 Years With A Limited Titanium 903 Chronograph
To celebrate its 65th anniversary, Sinn Spezialuhren presents a limited edition of one of its most historically significant chronographs, the 903 Ti II Anniversary. Although the 903 collection has always stood somewhat apart from the brand’s more utilitarian instrument watches, it remains one of Sinn’s most recognizable references thanks to its classic pilot chronograph layout with an integrated slide rule.

The origins of the 903 design trace back to the late 1970s, when Sinn acquired the rights and production assets for this well-known aviation chronograph configuration. Since then, the model has evolved under Sinn’s engineering-driven philosophy, combining traditional pilot watch functionality with the brand’s characteristic focus on durability and technical performance.
Grade 5 Titanium Case and Bracelet
For this 65th anniversary edition, Sinn opts for Grade 5 titanium for both the case and the five-link bracelet. Compared to the more commonly used Grade 2 titanium, Grade 5 offers a brighter, more steel-like appearance while allowing for refined finishing. At the same time, it preserves titanium’s inherent advantages, including reduced weight, high structural strength, and strong resistance to corrosion.

The case measures 41 mm in diameter, with a lug-to-lug distance of 48.50 mm and a total thickness of 14.50 mm, including the crystals. The 22 mm lug width ensures balanced proportions and compatibility with a range of strap options. These dimensions place the watch firmly within contemporary chronograph sizing while maintaining comfortable wearability.
Dial Design and Slide Rule Functionality
The 903 Ti II Anniversary features a vivid blue sunray dial that reflects light dynamically, paired with rhodium-plated subdials that enhance contrast and legibility. Surrounding the dial is a silver internal slide rule bezel, reinforcing the traditional aviation instrument aesthetic.

The slide rule enables a variety of practical calculations, including fuel consumption, airspeed conversions, multiplication, division, and general unit conversions. Unlike externally mounted rotating bezels, Sinn’s system operates internally and is adjusted via an external grip, helping to protect the mechanism while preserving the watch’s clean profile.
For low-light visibility, the hands and hour markers are treated with a ceramic-based luminous compound designed to deliver strong and long-lasting brightness.
DSP Technology and Water Resistance
A key technical highlight of the 903 is Sinn’s proprietary DSP (Dynamically Sealing System) technology. This system combines a specially developed sealing material, high-performance lubricating grease, and precisely matched component tolerances to ensure smooth and reliable bezel operation. Importantly, this engineering approach allows the watch to maintain a water resistance rating of 200 meters, an impressive figure for a slide rule chronograph.
Swiss Column Wheel Chronograph Movement
Powering the 903 Ti II Anniversary is a Swiss-made automatic column wheel chronograph movement from La Joux-Perret. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The column wheel construction ensures precise and smooth chronograph actuation.

In keeping with the celebratory nature of the model, the movement features decorative finishing, including perlage, Geneva stripes, blued screws, and a blued column wheel. The rotor is specially engraved and serialized, underscoring the limited-edition status of the watch.
Limited Edition Presentation
The 903 Ti II Anniversary is limited to 500 individually numbered pieces worldwide. Each watch is delivered as a complete set that includes the Grade 5 titanium bracelet, an additional shell cordovan leather strap, a strap-changing tool, and a dedicated anniversary presentation box. The retail price is set at $4,950.
New Additions to the 903 Collection
Alongside the anniversary model, Sinn also introduces two new dial options to the regular 903 collection. These include a bright green sunray dial and an anthracite gray dial, both maintaining the same slide rule chronograph architecture. These versions are available on a leather strap at $4,260 or on a stainless steel bracelet at $4,680.

With the 903 Ti II Anniversary, Sinn reinforces the model’s place within its collection as a technically robust aviation chronograph. By combining Grade 5 titanium construction, a 200-meter water resistance rating, a Swiss column wheel movement, and its proprietary engineering solutions, the brand delivers a limited edition that highlights both its heritage and its technical capabilities.
