Singer’s Dive Masterpiece: The Divetrack Unveiled
Singer has just presented its latest creation, the Divetrack, a mix of a dive watch and a chronograph with a unique dial.
The new diving watch, in addition to coming with all the features required for underwater activities, also comes with a dedicated chronograph that not only controls dive times but also surface and flying intervals, all supported by a central 24-hour plate and a peripheral rotating ring.
The robust watch comes in a Grade 5 Titanium case measuring 49mm in diameter and 19.67mm thick, a unidirectional diving bezel with a black ceramic aluminium insert, sapphire crystal on the front and back, and which we can also find in the profile of the case between the bezel and case at 6 o’clock responsible for providing the time, screw-down crown at 4 o’clock, two pushers at 10 and 2 o’clock with the last one protected with a red ceramic cover to prevent the chronograph from stopping accidentally, recessed helium escape valve at 8 o’clock and 300m waterproof.
On the black dial runs exclusively the chronograph supported by applied hour markers and an orange hand that provides the minutes, a central disc with 24 hours and a hand with an arrow-shaped tip that provides the hours, and inside three zones identified by CHILL between 0h and 6h which “helps you determine the surface interval before your next dive based on factors like previous dive duration, depth, and frequency”, the DIVE between 6h and 18h which “indicates when you are clear to dive again after fulfilling the required surface interval”, and finally, FLY between 18h and 24h “highlights the safe window before flying to avoid health risks such as pulmonary embolism. As per PADI guidelines, you must wait at least 18 hours after your last dive before flying”. The time can be read on the peripheral ring at 6 o’clock, using luminous Arabic numerals that also come with 15-minute dashes.
All this is possible thanks to the 479 parts Agengraphe automatic movement that also equips the brand’s first watch, the “Track 1”, which comes with an incredible 3 days of power reserve.
The Singer Divetrack comes attached to a black rubber strap and an extra textile strap with Velcro. It is a limited edition of just 25 units priced at CHF 85,000 (excluding taxes).
