Serica Introduces The New 7505 Field Chronometer In A Compact 35mm Case
French independent watch brand Serica continues to expand its military-inspired lineup with the launch of the new Ref. 7505 Field Chronometer, a compact yet capable field watch that blends vintage proportions with modern specifications.
Building on the success of the brand’s existing field watch collection, the new model arrives with a noticeably smaller 35 mm case while retaining the robust character and tool-watch credentials that define Serica’s design philosophy.
A Smaller Case Without Sacrificing Presence
At first glance, the Ref. 7505 stands out for its compact dimensions. The stainless steel case measures 35 mm in diameter, 9.60 mm thick, and 41.50 mm lug-to-lug, dimensions that recall classic mid-century military watches rather than today’s oversized field watch trend.

Despite the modest sizing, the watch maintains a strong wrist presence thanks to its wide stepped bezel, compact dial opening, and short lugs. The case architecture has also been redesigned compared to the larger Ref. 6190, featuring curved inner lugs, vertically brushed surfaces, and polished bezel flanks for a more refined execution.
Built as a True Tool Watch
While smaller in size, the new Ref. 7505 does not compromise on durability. The case features a screw-down crown, solid steel caseback, and double-domed sapphire crystal, delivering an impressive 200 meters of water resistance.

The watch also incorporates raised half-sphere markers positioned around the dial perimeter, extending the cardinal points and reinforcing its utilitarian character.
Three Distinct Dial Variations
Serica launches the Ref. 7505 with three unsigned dial options, each finished with a glossy enamel-like surface.
Two versions debut a new “Minute Critical” military-inspired layout available in black or olive green. These dials prioritize immediate readability with high-contrast luminous markers and a clean field-watch aesthetic.

The third option carries over the popular tuxedo-style design previously seen on the 6190 TXD, combining beige and black tones with applied luminous markers for a more distinctive vintage-inspired look.
Across all references, the watch is equipped with brushed steel broad-arrow hands filled with Super-LumiNova for enhanced low-light legibility.
COSC-Certified Soprod Automatic Movement
Powering the Ref. 7505 is the automatic Soprod M100 calibre, a slim Swiss movement positioned as an alternative to the ETA 2892 and Sellita SW300 families.
The COSC-certified chronometer movement operates at 4Hz and delivers approximately 42 hours of power reserve, aligning with the watch’s emphasis on precision and reliability.
Updated Bonklip Bracelet
Another notable update comes with the redesigned Bonklip stainless steel bracelet. The new version features curved end links, polished squared links, and a more pronounced taper for improved comfort on the wrist.

Serica also introduces a new Safe-Lock clasp system designed to offer a more secure and user-friendly fit.
Availability & Price
The new Serica Ref. 7505 Field Chronometer joins the permanent collection and is available immediately through Serica. Pricing starts at € 1,090 for the Minute Critical dial versions, while the tuxedo dial variant is priced at € 1,190 including taxes.

With its compact proportions, chronometer-certified movement, and impressive durability, the Ref. 7505 delivers a modern interpretation of the traditional military field watch while staying faithful to the vintage sizing that inspired it.
