Serica Blends Utility And Elegance In The New 6190 ‘TXD’
Serica expands its 6190 collection with the launch of the Serica 6190 ‘TXD’, a new reference that blends the brand’s utilitarian design language with a refined tuxedo-inspired dial. Built on the same architecture that defines the 6190 series, the TXD introduces upgraded dial execution, updated finishing, and the performance specifications already associated with the French-designed, Swiss-made line.

Case and Construction
The 6190 ‘TXD’ maintains the compact proportions found across the 6190 family. The stainless-steel case measures 37.70 mm in diameter, stands 10.40 mm thick including the crystal, and extends to 46.50 mm from lug to lug. Serica retains its signature twisted lugs, which combine brushed surfaces with narrow polished chamfers, emphasizing the curvature of the design without altering the established silhouette.

A 1.80 mm double-domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective treatment protects the dial and introduces a subtle vintage-style distortion near the edge while still delivering modern scratch resistance. The watch also offers a water-resistance rating of 200 metres, reinforcing its everyday practicality despite its more formal dial aesthetic.
Polished Enamel Tuxedo Dial
The centerpiece of the 6190 ‘TXD’ is its polished enamel tuxedo dial, constructed in three concentric layers that include a glossy black central disc, a broad beige ring, and an outer minute track. The hour markers are hand-applied and combine circular and baton elements, each framed and filled with Super-LumiNova C3 to ensure readability in low-light conditions. The enamel finish adds visual depth and enhances the tonal contrast between the different sections of the dial.

The handset has also been adapted for this reference. Serica’s recognizable large arrow hour hand remains present, and both the hour and minute hands now feature a brushed finish that complements the dial’s refined surface.
Movement: Soprod M100, COSC-Certified
Powering the 6190 ‘TXD’ is the automatic Soprod M100 movement. It operates at a frequency of 4 Hz and provides a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The calibre is COSC-certified for chronometric accuracy and includes a decorated plate adorned with côtes de Genève, though the decoration remains hidden behind the solid caseback typical of the 6190 series.

Bracelet: Stainless-Steel Bonklip
The watch is delivered on Serica’s stainless-steel Bonklip bracelet, a lightweight and highly articulated design composed of narrow, closely spaced links that allow the bracelet to drape comfortably around the wrist. It is offered in three lengths—small, regular and extra-long—to make initial sizing straightforward, and it secures with a signed clasp.
