Seiko’s ‘Style 60s’ Presage Returns In Sleeker Size And Updated Design
The Seiko Presage “Style 60s” is back and now in a more compact version and with some new aesthetics.
Following the same path started a few years ago with the SRPG references, the watch arrives with the same vintage look with clean lines, simple time and date functions, and reliable mechanical movement.
On the outside and as already mentioned, it comes in a downsize case, 39.50mm wide, 12mm thick and 46.20mm lug-to-lug distance, straighter and drilled lugs which like the bezel come with a polished finish. The fixed bezel features a silver insert engraved with Arabic numerals interspersed with triangles, domed Hardlex crystal, fluted crown at 3 o’clock, screwed open case back and the same previous 50m water resistance.
The dial in blue tone (SRPL07) or in brown (SRPL09) presents a sunburst finish and in it, we can find a layout very similar to the wider version, with applied hour markers with tips that, like the faceted Dauphine hands, are all filled with Lumibrite, a centre seconds hand and a date window that now comes round and moves to 4:30.
Inside, just like its bigger brother, it comes equipped with the 23-jewel Caliber 4R35 automatic movement with hacking seconds, reaching 21,600 Vph and offering up to 41 hours of power reserve.
Finally, the two new Presages come with a new 5-link multi-row bracelet with a folding clasp and are priced at GBP 510.
