Seiko x Studio Ghibli’s Nausicaä Of The Valley Of The Wind Presents The New Presage SPB437
Seiko once again collaborates with Studio Ghibli in what is its third collaboration inspired by Nausicaä of The Valley of The Wind.
Nausicaä of The Valley of The Wind is an 80s animated movie that portrays the story of princess Nausicaä, which takes place in a fantasy world where there is a conflict between two kingdoms, one of which is inhabited by giant mutant insects, the princess tries to put an end to the war brings the parties together, but for those interested in this type of film, the best thing is to watch it.
Like previous collaborations, the watch again comes with an enamel dial, which this time is painted blue matching the princess’s clothes and the tone of ‘Ohm’s eyes when calm.
The watch wears a round stainless steel case 40.50mm wide and 12.40mm high, which in addition to the sandblasted finish also comes with a super hard coating, smooth bezel, sapphire crystal, large fluted crown with a blue cap, screwed case back and 100m water resistance.
On the blue dial, we can find a white minute track with long hour markers, leaf hands, a gold center seconds hand and the inscriptions of the brand and movement at noon and finally the symbol painted on Nausicaä’s clothes in white and red at 6 o’clock.
It is through the open case back that, like the oscillating weight of the automatic movement, is painted gold that we can see the Caliber 6R51 with 24 jewels, which operates at 21,600 Vph and offers up to 3 days of power reserve announced on the dial. It should also be noted that the glass is adorned with blue drawings from the movie.
This limited edition of 1,500 units, which comes attached to a brown leather strap engraved with the Ohm, is housed in a special box, which will be available from March in the brand’s official Boutiques and in selected authorized retailers for a price of €1,750.
