Seiko Presents Five New Presage Classic Series
There are also novelties in the Seiko Presage universe, for all those who prefer elegant over sporty, with the brand presenting five new references within the Classic Series.
Three of the new references come with time and date functions, including the SPB463 with a white dial, the SPB465 with a salmon orange dial and the SPB467 with a brown green dial. Then we have two other references that come with an open heart dial with a 24-hour counter and no date window, with the SPB469 coming with an off-white dial and the SPB471 with a dark gray black dial.
The five watches share the same round stainless steel case measuring 40.20mm wide and 13mm high, with stepped bezel, general polished finish with the exception of the surface of the lugs which are brushed, double-domed sapphire crystal, fluted crown at 3 o’clock with “S” of the brand carved, open case back and 100m water resistance.
The references SPB463, SPB465 and SPB467 come with a domed grained textured dial inspired by silk, where we can find, applied polished baton hour markers and three center hands, a date window next to the crown, a minute track rehaunt, and finally, the embossed brand’s logo at noon and “Presage” followed by “Automatic 3 Days” at 6 o’clock. While the SPB469 and SPB471 feature a radial dial influenced from raw silk yarn, which in addition to the polished accents, hands and minute chapter ring features a 24-hour register at 6 o’clock and an open heart at 9 o’clock that highlights the Diashock property of brand.
Powered with similar automatic movements, with the Caliber 6R55 equipping the time date variants and the Caliber 6R5J driving the open heart ones, both featuring 24 jewels, 21,600 Vph and up to 72 hours of power reserve.
The watches, which come attached to a 7-row steel bracelet with a mainly brushed finish and polished intermediate links with a butterfly clasp, are expected to hit the market next June with prices ranging from €1,050 for the time and date versions, and €1,250 for the open heart versions.
