Seiko Presage Introduces Three New Watches With Enamel Dials
Seiko’s Presage line has just introduced three automatic watches with enamel dials aimed at the female audience. Of the three new models, we highlight a limited edition whose dial is inspired by the crescent moon on a winter’s evening.
All the dials of these three watches are the work of Mitsuru Yokosawa and his team of artisans, whose legacy in the execution and longevity of beautiful enamel dials is due to the attention given to each piece and the numerous processes involved, paying attention to numerous factors, between them the humidity.
The limited edition comes with a deep blue dial and stands out from the other two variants by the crescent moon shape on the right side, from 12 to 8 o’clock. The hour indexes alternate between Roman gold-tone numbers on the side of the crescent motif on the dial and white batons outline of the crescent shape. The watch also comes with a stainless steel case with yellow gold color plating, white hands, a gold-tone seconds hand, and a blue crocodile leather strap with gold trim. Being limited to 1,000 units.
As for the other two regular production variants, one comes with a stainless steel case, a new cherry blossom color enamel dial, brown Roman hour indexes and hands, silver seconds hand, and a brown calfskin strap. While the other regular variant comes with a stainless steel case with yellow gold color plating, a classic white enamel dial, blue Roman hour indexes and hands, gold-tone seconds hand, and a blue calfskin strap.
All variants have common features such as 34.3 mm diameter by 12.1 mm thick stainless steel case, sapphire glass, 50-meter water resistance, three o’clock crown set with a diamond. On the enamel dials, long Roman indexes, leaf-shape hour and minute hands, seconds center hand against crescent-shaped weight. Powered by the automatic movement Caliber 6R31 operates at 21,600 Vph (6 beats per second) and offers up to 70 hours of power reserve. The straps come with a three-fold clasp with a push-button release.
The watches will be available from December 2021 at the brand’s official stores and retailers, for a recommended price of €1,350 and €1,400 for the regular variants in steel and steel with yellow gold color plating respectively, and €1,600 for the limited edition.
