Seiko Presage Craftsmanship Series Presents Three New Models
Seiko reinforces its Presage Craftsmanship Series line with three new models that stand out for their handcrafted enamel dials.
The new models that share the same stainless steel case come with a hard coating finish with dimensions of 40.20mm in diameter, 11.60mm in thickness (with the exception of the SPB403 whose case has a height of 12.10mm) and 48mm lug-to-lug distance, which now features more pronounced edges. Front sapphire glass, fluted crown at 3 o’clock, open through case back and 100m water resistance.
The enamel dials come with applied baton hour markers and leaf hands, a centre seconds hand with a moon-shaped counterweight and a date window at three o’clock.
The SPB403 features a white enamel dial inspired by the brand’s first wristwatch, the 1913 Laurel, grey indexes, blue hands and a 5-row Jubilee-type bracelet whose central links and bevels come with a mirror-polished finish. The other two models, the SPB405 and SPB407, feature black and green Urushi Lacquer dials respectively, a golden centre seconds hand and are attached, the first the same steel bracelet as the SPB403 and the second, to a vintage brown leather strap.
Inside, the new Caliber 6R55 automatic movement takes over, operating at 21,600 Vph and offering up to 3 days of power reserve.
The three new watches should be available from October onwards, in the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers, with the SPB407 being exclusive to the brand’s boutique. Prices start at €1,500 for the white dial version, €1,750 for the black dial model and €1,800 for the green dial.
