Seiko Expands Presage Craftsmanship Series With Elegant Arita Porcelain Dial SPB445
Following the trio of watches launched in 2023 within the Presage Craftsmanship Series with Enamel and Urushi lacquer dials, Seiko now presents the new Arita Porcelain.
The handcrafted milk-tone white porcelain dial baked at 1300º C made by Hiroyuki Hashiguchi follows much of the previous lines, focusing on a clean dial with long hour markers that, like the leaf hands, are painted blue, dropping the previous date window at 3 o’clock and raising a 24-hour counter at 6 o’clock that consequently forces the previous inscriptions to be moved next to the brand’s lettering at noon.
The new Arita SPB445 arrives in a round stainless steel case with slightly larger dimensions at 40.60mm wide, 12.50mm high and 48.50mm lug-to-lug distance, brushed and mirror polished finish, smooth bezel, curved sapphire crystal, fluted crown with the brand’s signature, screwed open case back and 100m water resistance.
It is through the rear sapphire crystal that we can observe its 24-jewel 6R5H automatic movement at work, running at 21,600 Vph and offering up to 3 days of power reserve.
The elegant watch is attached to a 5-link steel bracelet with a folding clasp that becomes part of the brand’s permanent collection and hits the market for €2,000.
