Seiko Adds Three New Watches To The Black Series ‘Night Vision’
It’s only the 11th of January and from this beginning we risk saying that 2024 is looking hot for Seiko, with four new launches – SSK029, SSK031, SPB439 and the SRPK77 that we already had the opportunity to talk about here and about which we left the link above now adds three new entries, making 7 new watches in just 11 days, impressive.
The three new watches that are now arriving are part of the Black Series within the Prospex line, all sharing the black hard-coated case, black dial and green LumiBrite Pro.
Among the new products are the SRPK43 and the SSC923 Solar Speedtimer, which are now part of the permanent collection, and the new SPB433 ‘Sumo’ limited edition.
Seiko SRPK43
Individually, the SRPK43 comes in a C-shaped stainless steel case with dimensions of 45mm in diameter, 13.20mm in thickness and 47mm lug-to-lug distance, which comes with a black hard-coated finish and which also extends to the steel bracelet, sapphire glass, unidirectional bezel, screw-down crown at 4 o’clock and 200m of water resistance. On the matte black dial, applied hour markers and hands all filled with luminescent material and a day-date window at 3 o’clock with a magnifyer. Powered by the 4R36 automatic movement that offers up to 41 hours of power reserve. The watch arrives in February at a price of €780.

Seiko SSC923
The new Solar Speedtimer SSC923 arrives in a 41.40mm x 45.90mm steel case that also comes with a black hard-coated finish, black tachymeter bezel, fluted crown at 3 o’clock flanked by two pump-pushers and 50m of water resistance. The black dial comes with 3 registers materialized in a 24-hour counter, a 60-minute counter that, when not in operation, functions as a power reserve indicator and a running seconds at 3-6-9 hours respectively. Applied hour markers and faceted center hands all filled with green LumiBrite. Inside we find the solar-powered Caliber V192 which when fully charged offers 6 months of power reserve. The chronograph comes attached to a black textile strap with a folding clasp and will cost €700.

Seiko SPB433
Finally, we have the SPB433 ‘Sumo’ in a limited edition of 3,500 pieces, which comes in a robust steel case measuring 45mm wide, 13.40mm in profile and 52.60mm between lugs, which also comes with a black coating, sapphire glass, unidirectional bezel with black ceramic insert and pip-lume at 12 o’clock, screwed crown at 3 o’clock and 200m water resistance. On the grey grained dial, hour markers and three center hands filled with green lume and a date window at 3 o’clock. Powered by the 6R35 automatic movement, it offers up to 70 hours of power reserve. The watch, which comes attached to a 3-link steel bracelet with the same black coating as the case, will cost €1,300.
