Roue Launches TPS Eight and Nine

Micro-brand Roue has just expanded its TPS series with the Eight and Nine models that are once again inspired by 60s motorsport.

TPS Series launched in 2019 is a tribute to Porsche 910 that won the Nürburgring 1000-Kilometer race in 1967. This is a contemporary chronograph with a vintage design that with these two new releases turns into 10 variants with different dial hues including an all-black special edition.

But our focus is today on the two new additions, the Eight features a grey dial with orange and yellow accents while the Nine presents a blue dial with white and red details.

Housed in a 316L stainless steel case 40mm wide and 13.40mm tall with a brushed finish. Double-domed sapphire glass, fluted crown at 3 o’clock with brand signature and sided by two pushers, screwed solid case back embossed with a car front and 50m water resistance.

The dial follows the configuration of its siblings with an inner tachymeter-pulsometer bezel and a Tri-Compax layout with a 24-hour indicator at 3 o’clock, a running seconds at 6 and a 60-minute counter at 9 o’clock. Printed hour markers and hands filed with Super-LumiNova, two coloured hands dedicated to the chrono functions and the brand’s logo at noon.

Powered by the meca-quartz hybrid movement Seiko VK63 comes with a mechanic modulo for chrongraph.
In addition to the brown perforated leather strap, the set also includes an extra grey rubber strap, a strap exchange tool and a suede-style watch roll with three pockets.

Just as past editions are limited to 1,000 units each with individual numbering and are available on the brand’s website for € 260.
