There is good news for anyone looking for a Rolex watch in the pre-owned market, as Rolex has just announced that it will start certifying these watches.

This new service made available essentially aims to combat the uncertainty of those who choose to buy a pre-owned Rolex without running the risk of being deceived, as counterfeits have been improving, as well as the so-called Frankenstein watches, known for integrating parts from different watches, which causes the watches to lose much of their value.
With this service, the brand guarantees the authenticity and originality of the watches, offering a new two-year international factory warranty and these watches now come with a seal that indicates their submission to the brand’s authentication process.
However, it should be noted that this process does not include any maintenance or repair service, but only, as mentioned above, a verification process of the authenticity and originality of the watches.
Finally, it should be noted that the value of this service is unknown, but that naturally this should be reflected in the price of the watches, and if, on the one hand, authorized dealers start to offer more guarantees to the end customer, on the other hand, prices may suffer a considerable appreciation, however, the ball is still in the consumer’s court and it is up to them to decide which option is the best.
