Rolex Says Goodbye Cellini and Hello Perpetual 1908
Another of the surprises presented by Rolex in this edition of Watches and Wonders is the Perpetual 1908, the new dress watch that replaces the discontinued Cellini line.
The new dress watch whose name is associated with the date that the “Rolex” trademark was officially registered in Switzerland.
The stylish new timepiece, which is housed in a 39mm by 9.5mm 18k yellow gold or white gold case, features a fine-fluted bezel and an open caseback.
The black or white dial features applied faceted gold baton and Arabic hour markers, a sword minute hand and an “open” Mercedes hour hand, and lastly a small second at 6 o’clock.
Inside beats, the new automatic movement Caliber 7140, which is Superlative Chronometer certified comes with an 18k gold skeletonized rotor and Rolex Côtes de Genève decoration.
Finally, it should be noted that the new watch is offered with an alligator leather strap with a green lining and the new Dualclasp.
