Rezvani RR1: Porsche Motorsport Heritage Reborn
When Porsche introduced the 935 in the late 1970s, it became an endurance racing legend, conquering Le Mans and securing dozens of international victories. Decades later, Rezvani Motors is reviving that spirit with a very different approach: the Rezvani Retro RR1, a limited production reinterpretation of the modern Porsche 911.

Only 50 examples of the RR1 will leave the workshop, each numbered and highly customizable. Prices begin at about €166,000 plus the donor 992, but bespoke options can push the total well over €239,000. For collectors, it offers a way to own a 935-inspired machine without venturing into the seven-figure auction territory of original race cars.

Instead of focusing on a single spec, Rezvani lets customers choose between two personalities. The RR1 600 channels traditional driver engagement, with a 618 hp flat-six, the option of a manual transmission topped with a wooden shift knob, and the choice between rear- or all-wheel drive. At the other end of the spectrum, the RR1 750 is unapologetically modern, based on the 911 Turbo S, delivering 750 hp through a PDK gearbox and catapulting to 100 km/h in just two seconds.

Visually, the car is unmistakable. The carbon fiber bodywork (doors excluded), widened stance, and compact round headlights immediately recall the silhouette racers of the 1970s. Rezvani even offers track-ready upgrades like Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes, and central-lock wheels. The first customer delivery, finished in a Martini-inspired livery, perfectly illustrates the blend of nostalgia and modern engineering.

Rezvani Motors, once known for its extreme SUVs and exotic supercars, is now exploring heritage design through its Rezvani Retro division. With the RR1, the company demonstrates that motorsport history can be celebrated not only in museums or auction houses, but also on the road, with contemporary performance and reliability.
