Raymond Weil Unveils Millesime Moon Phase 35mm Japan Special Edition
Raymond Weil enriches its Millesime collection with a refined Japan-exclusive edition of the 35mm Moon Phase model, a watch that seamlessly blends mid-century elegance with contemporary detailing. Designed under the supervision of Masayuki Hirota, Editor-in-Chief of Chronos Japan Edition, this new reference combines Raymond Weil’s traditional craftsmanship with a subtle modern twist.

At first glance, the 35 mm stainless steel case exemplifies the essence of understated luxury. Measuring just 9.98 mm in height, it sits comfortably on the wrist thanks to a chamfered bezel that visually slims the profile. The case features a balanced mix of brushed and polished surfaces — satin-finished sides contrast with polished lug tops and bevels that catch the light beautifully. Completing the vintage-inspired design are the long, gently curved lugs and a box-shaped sapphire crystal, while a water resistance of 50 meters ensures practicality for daily wear.

The two-tone dial stands as the centerpiece of this Special Edition. A silver base is framed by slate-blue tracks, structured in a classic sector layout that enhances both legibility and style. The Arabic numerals, presented in crisp white sans-serif, offer a clean modern touch against the vintage backdrop. Attention to detail continues with the slightly sloped minute track and the elegantly curved tips of the hands — nods to traditional watchmaking finesse.

At six o’clock, the moon-phase display distinguishes this edition from its standard counterparts. Instead of the collection’s signature smiling moon, this model features a lifelike lunar representation crafted using imagery from NASA. The realistic depiction adds depth and a sense of modern precision, harmonizing beautifully with the watch’s classic design language.

Powering the timepiece is the automatic calibre RW4280, based on a Sellita movement, running at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 41-hour power reserve. The sapphire caseback reveals the rotor engraved with the Raymond Weil “W” emblem, alongside the engraving “Edition Limitée une sur 100,” marking its exclusivity.
A slate-blue calfskin strap completes the look, perfectly complementing the dial’s tones. The strap features refined finishing and a discreet W-shaped embroidery near the tip, secured by a traditional pin buckle to maintain the watch’s timeless aesthetic.

Limited to only 100 pieces, the Raymond Weil Millesime Moon Phase 35 mm Special Edition for Japan will be available from October 11, 2025, through select ISHIDA boutiques in Tokyo and Sapporo, as well as online via Raymond Weil Japan.
