Raymond Weil Celebrates 50 Years With The Fifty Chronograph
To mark its upcoming 50th anniversary, Raymond Weil introduces a special limited-edition timepiece that pays tribute to the brand’s origins in 1976. Named The Fifty, this refined chronograph blends vintage proportions, neo-retro aesthetics, and a historically significant movement, making it one of the most notable releases from the Geneva-based brand in recent years.

Limited to just 50 pieces, the watch stands out not only for its design but also for the remarkable caliber powering it.
A Vintage-Inspired 37mm Case
The Raymond Weil The Fifty embraces classic chronograph proportions with a 37 mm stainless steel case, a size that remains faithful to traditional manually wound chronographs from the 1970s. Measuring 10.75 mm in thickness, the watch offers an elegant and balanced profile on the wrist, staying true to the refined character of vintage-inspired timepieces.

A key highlight of the case is its 18k white gold bezel, which elevates the overall look and gives this anniversary edition an added sense of exclusivity. The case itself combines brushed and polished finishes, creating subtle contrasts that enhance its visual depth.
Further reinforcing its retro appeal, Raymond Weil equips The Fifty with piston-style chronograph pushers, a large fluted crown, and curved screw-fastened lugs, all details that echo the design language of classic chronographs. Protecting the dial is a box-style sapphire crystal, a modern interpretation of vintage acrylic crystals, while the watch offers 50 meters of water resistance for everyday practicality.
A Multi-Layered Sector Dial
The dial continues the neo-vintage design direction that has become a signature of Raymond Weil’s recent releases, particularly within the Millesime collection.
Presented in a sophisticated silvery-grey tone, the dial features a layered construction that adds both depth and refinement. The outermost section consists of a snailed flange with a tachymeter scale, accompanied by a precise black track that reinforces the chronograph’s functional character.

Moving inward, the grained chapter ring hosts bold black baton hour markers filled with green-emission Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent readability in lower-light conditions. At the center, the dial is divided into four distinct sections with alternating horizontal and vertical gadroon finishing, creating a rich textural contrast that adds to its visual appeal.
The chronograph layout is completed by two recessed snailed sub-dials, positioned symmetrically across the dial. The sub-dial at 3 o’clock serves as the 30-minute chronograph counter, while the one at 9 o’clock displays the running seconds.
Adding an elegant touch, the sub-dial hands and central chronograph seconds hand are finished in blued steel, beautifully contrasting against the monochromatic dial. The hour and minute hands feature an obelisk shape and are also filled with Super-LumiNova, combining style with functionality.
The Highlight: A Restored Valjoux 23-6
The true centerpiece of The Fifty is undoubtedly its movement.
Inside the watch beats a restored Valjoux 23-6 chronograph caliber, a movement originally produced in 1976, the very same year Raymond Weil was founded. This detail gives the anniversary model a particularly meaningful historical connection.

The Valjoux 23 family is widely respected among collectors for its classic chronograph architecture and robust construction. In The Fifty, the movement retains its traditional configuration with a column-wheel system and horizontal clutch, elements highly appreciated by enthusiasts of vintage mechanical chronographs.
The manually wound caliber operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and delivers a 40-hour power reserve.
Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement has been meticulously restored and hand-finished. The bridges and balance cock are decorated with Côtes de Genève and treated with black ruthenium, creating a striking contrast with the blued screws. Additional hand-executed finishing, including anglage and polished screw sinks, further enhances the movement’s visual appeal, while the iconic column wheel remains clearly visible.
Limited to 50 Pieces
Raymond Weil pairs The Fifty with a grey calfskin leather strap secured by a classic pin buckle, perfectly complementing the vintage-inspired aesthetic of the watch.

As its name suggests, this special anniversary edition is limited to 50 pieces worldwide, making it a highly exclusive release for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
The Raymond Weil The Fifty is priced at CHF 8,650.
