Radiomir Viaggio Nel Tempo: Two Materials, Two Movements, One Exclusive Set
With the Radiomir Viaggio nel Tempo Experience Set, Panerai expands its Experience Edition concept by presenting, for the first time, a paired release composed of two distinct Radiomir references. Limited to 30 sets worldwide, this edition combines contrasting materials, historically inspired dial executions, and two different in-house calibers, all housed within the brand’s emblematic 47 mm case architecture.
A Shared Case Design, Diverging Materials
Both timepieces are built around the classic Radiomir silhouette, featuring a 47 mm cushion-shaped case, wire lugs, and water resistance rated to 100 meters. From that common foundation, each reference adopts a very different material expression.

The PAM01729 is crafted in bronze, a material closely associated with marine equipment and naval instrumentation. As with other bronze watches, the case will gradually develop a natural patina over time, ensuring that each piece acquires a unique surface character. To enhance comfort and prevent direct contact between bronze and the skin, Panerai equips this reference with a titanium caseback.
In contrast, the PAM01730 is produced in Platinumtech, Panerai’s proprietary platinum alloy designed to offer enhanced hardness and improved scratch resistance compared to conventional platinum. The use of this noble metal results in a heavier and more refined presence on the wrist, reinforcing the model’s elevated positioning within the Radiomir family. The pairing of bronze and platinum within the same set reflects the brand’s evolution—from its origins as a supplier of military instruments to its current status as a luxury watch manufacturer.
Two Historic Dial Codes
The dials further distinguish the two references, each drawing from recognizable elements of Panerai’s historical design language.

The PAM01729 features a black grained dial executed in the so-called California layout, characterized by Roman numerals on the upper half of the dial and Arabic numerals on the lower half. This configuration enhances visual orientation and legibility, qualities that historically proved valuable in military and underwater contexts. The textured surface adds depth while maintaining the clean, high-contrast aesthetic associated with early Panerai instruments.

The PAM01730 adopts the brand’s signature sandwich dial construction. This multi-layered approach consists of a top plate with cut-out numerals and indices positioned over a luminous base layer. The result is a dial with greater dimensionality and strong low-light readability, reinforcing the technical character of the piece while preserving the minimalist layout typical of the Radiomir line.
In-House Movements with Distinct Identities
Both watches are powered by hand-wound in-house calibers visible through sapphire exhibition casebacks, yet they present different mechanical personalities.

Inside the bronze PAM01729 is the caliber P.3000. This manually wound movement features twin barrels and delivers a 72-hour power reserve. Its construction emphasizes robustness and straightforward architecture, aligning with the utilitarian spirit of the bronze case.

The platinum PAM01730 houses the caliber P.3001/10, which also provides a 72-hour power reserve through a twin-barrel configuration. However, this movement is skeletonized, revealing more of its internal structure and creating a more contemporary visual effect. In addition, it incorporates a power reserve indicator displayed on the reverse side—an element not present on the P.3000—further differentiating the mechanical execution between the two references.
Limited Production and Presentation
The Radiomir Viaggio nel Tempo Experience Set is limited to 30 numbered sets worldwide. Each set includes both watches and is delivered in a dedicated mahogany presentation box. The retail price is € 145,000, with availability beginning in June.
Beyond the watches themselves, ownership grants access to the Viaggio nel Tempo experience, scheduled from September 15th to 18th. The itinerary focuses on historically significant Italian locations connected to the brand’s heritage, including Florence—where Panerai was founded—and coastal sites linked to its naval legacy.
By combining two contrasting case materials, two emblematic dial designs, and two distinct in-house movements within a single limited edition, the Radiomir Viaggio nel Tempo Experience Set represents a technically and historically layered addition to Panerai’s Experience Edition portfolio.
