Parmigiani’s Toric Petite Seconde Shines In New Platinum And Rose Gold Versions
The Toric collection holds a special place in Parmigiani Fleurier’s history. Introduced as the first design by founder Michel Parmigiani, it has always been associated with refined craftsmanship and distinctive aesthetics, including the use of gadroons and knurled detailing. In 2024, the line was reinterpreted under the creative direction of CEO Guido Terreni, blending the elegance of a traditional dress watch with modern proportions and subtle updates.

For 2025, Parmigiani Fleurier enriches the collection with two new iterations of the Toric Petite Seconde, each highlighting a fresh approach to material and color combinations:
Two New Creations
The first is the Toric Petite Seconde Platinum Golden Hour, which presents a 950 platinum case paired with a solid white gold dial in a refined salmon-like shade. The dial is hand-finished using a traditional graining method that employs natural compounds such as cream of tartar, sea salt, and silver before being brushed by hand to achieve its distinctive texture. White gold hands and applied indices complete the display, while the watch is fitted with an Akoya Grey hand-stitched nubuck alligator strap.

The second addition is the Toric Petite Seconde Rose Gold Dune. Crafted in 18k rose gold, this model introduces a deeper and warmer dial tone, once again produced in solid gold and finished with the same artisanal graining technique. The design follows a harmonious monochromatic approach, as both the applied markers and the hands are fashioned from rose gold. A sand-colored nubuck alligator strap completes the watch, enhancing the warm and uniform aesthetic.
Case Design
Both versions retain the modern case design introduced with the collection’s relaunch. Measuring 40.60 millimeters in diameter and 8.80 millimeters in thickness, the watch adopts a contemporary size for a dress piece, though it remains elegant and balanced on the wrist. The fully polished case is enhanced by a refined knurled bezel, now reduced to a single row of detailing to give the watch a sleeker and more streamlined appearance.

The Calibre PF780
Inside beats the in-house Calibre PF780, a movement that reflects Parmigiani Fleurier’s pursuit of both technical refinement and decorative artistry. Its plates and bridges are crafted from 18k rose gold and decorated with Côtes de Fleurier finishing and polished bevels. Twin barrels ensure a steady delivery of energy and provide a power reserve of 60 hours, while the movement operates at a frequency of 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour. Openworked polished steel bridges secure the barrels and the balance assembly, creating both visual depth and a sense of mechanical elegance.
