Parmigiani Fleurier Introduces Fresh Tones To Tonda PF Sport Chronographs
Presented for the first time in 2023, the Tonda PF Sport Collection by Parmigiani Fleurier, this year adds three new models that had already been revealed in this year’s edition of Watches And Wonders.
The three new additions bring to five the chronograph options that now arrive in a stainless steel case and with new tones in London Grey, Milano Blue and Artic Grey.
There are no changes on the outside, embracing again a 42mm by 12.90 mm case that comes with a mainly polished finish, fluted fixed bezel, sapphire crystal on the front and back, crown with the brand’s signature and flanked by two drop-shaped pushers and 100m water resistance.
The white-silvery dial returns with the Clou Triangulaire guilloché pattern and the colourful three registers at 3-6-9 o’clock paring with the chapter ring, a tiny black date window at 4:30 matching the tone of the Super-LumiNova that fills the applied polished hour markers and the tips of the skeletonized hands and the gold brand’s logo set at noon.
And if nothing is moving on the outside, neither is the inside, where we once again find the Caliber PF070 automatic movement, just 7mm thick, with a column wheel and vertical clutch, which runs at a high frequency of 5 Hz and offers up to 65 hours power reserve. The movement, which is chronometer-certified by COSC, is carefully decorated, highlighting the skeletonized rotor in 22k pink gold.
Like their siblings, the three new timepieces come attached to integrated rubber straps in the same tone as the counters and rehaut with a steel folding clasp and are priced at €31,900.
Our Opinion
In April, when we saw them for the first time, we had the opportunity to try them and they impress with their elegance and uniqueness.
Although the curved lugs and integrated strap allow it to fit even small wrists, we still think that a more compact size would appeal to a wider audience, other than that we liked it.
