Panerai Unveils The New Luminor Marina Collection

A timeless symbol of Panerai’s heritage, the Luminor Marina remains one of the brand’s most celebrated models, distinguished by its bold contemporary and sporty aesthetic. At Watches & Wonders 2025, Panerai introduces a refreshed Luminor Marina collection with refined technical features and modernized design elements while preserving the brand’s iconic identity, reliability, and functionality. Available in titanium and stainless steel, the new series is designed for confident individuals who appreciate a timepiece with presence and purpose.

Key Features & Innovations

The hallmark characteristics of the Luminor Marina remain unchanged, from its signature safety lock system to the luminous sandwich dial that ensures optimal readability in all conditions. A streamlined dial layout now features only the Panerai logo and “Luminor Marina” text, along with an enlarged, beveled date display. The rhodium-plated small seconds subdial enhances the watch’s performance by providing an intuitive reference for timekeeping accuracy.

For the first time in the core Luminor Marina collection, Panerai introduces Super-LumiNova® X2, offering enhanced brightness for superior legibility in low-light environments—a nod to the watch’s naval heritage.

At the heart of the Luminor Marina collection is the new Caliber P.980, an automatic movement with 177 components, including 23 jewels. Operating at 28,800 Vph, it offers up to 72 hours of power reserve. The movement features hacking seconds and an Incabloc anti-shock device, ensuring stability and precision. A transversal balance bridge further enhances its accuracy. The movement, tested in six positions for optimal chronometric performance, is visible through a sapphire caseback.

The collection also introduces a significant enhancement in water resistance, now rated at 50 BAR (~500 meters)—a first for the Luminor Marina line. Each watch undergoes rigorous testing at 25% higher pressure than its rated water resistance to ensure reliability in extreme conditions.

With a slimmer case profile and a 12% reduction in thickness, along with a 15% weight decrease, the Luminor Marina offers improved comfort and ergonomics while maintaining its bold presence. The redesigned lugs and the PAM Click strap and buckle release system—debuting in this collection—allow effortless strap changes without tools.

Crafted from Grade 5 titanium, the PAM003325 combines high-tech materials with a distinctive military-inspired olive-green aesthetic. The brushed 44mm case is 44% lighter than steel while maintaining impressive durability and corrosion resistance. The polished bezel contrasts with the sunray-brushed olive-green dial, creating a dynamic visual effect. The watch comes with a dark green suede leather strap and an additional matching rubber strap for versatility.

Luminor Marina Steel: A Reinvented Icon

The 44mm stainless steel Luminor Marina models are made from Panerai’s premium AISI 316LVM – 1.4441 steel alloy, offering enhanced corrosion resistance due to its low-carbon composition and vacuum-melted refinement. The collection introduces a new tapered V-shaped bracelet design, which transitions smoothly from the case to the buckle. The brushed inner links contrast with the polished edges, producing a striking three-dimensional effect. The bracelet also features the new Quick Length Adjustment function, allowing for a 2mm extension on each side for optimal comfort throughout the day.

The collection debuts a fresh light blue sunray-brushed dial with the PAM03323, bringing a modern touch to this iconic design. Other dial options include the classic black dial with a black leather strap (PAM03312), a sunray blue dial with a matching blue leather strap (PAM03313), and a white dial with a black leather strap (PAM03314). Each model includes a second rubber strap in a complementary color. The PAM Click system ensures seamless strap changes for maximum versatility.
