Panerai Debuts The Luminor Marina PAM01707 In Full Carbotech
Although Panerai has experimented with high-tech materials for years, the new Luminor Marina PAM01707 marks the first time the brand combines its signature no-date Luminor Marina with a full Carbotech exterior, creating one of the lightest executions of its iconic 44mm dive watch.

Retaining all the design elements that have defined the Luminor for decades—the patented crown-protecting bridge, sandwich dial and military-inspired aesthetics—the latest reference introduces a stealthier personality while improving comfort on the wrist.
Carbon Technology At The Core
The highlight is undoubtedly the watch’s Carbotech construction. Unlike forged carbon, Panerai’s proprietary composite is produced by layering carbon fibre sheets with PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) under high pressure. The result is a material that is exceptionally light, highly resistant to corrosion and shocks, and naturally displays a distinctive marbled texture that makes every watch unique.

The entire 44mm case, including the bezel and crown-protecting device, is crafted from Carbotech, while the screw-down caseback and trapezoidal buckle are executed in DLC-coated titanium. Even with its generous proportions and professional diving credentials, the watch tips the scales at around 100 grams and remains water-resistant to 300 metres.
A Return To Simplicity
Instead of following the layout of most contemporary Luminor Marina models, Panerai has opted for a cleaner presentation by removing the date display altogether. The uncluttered matte black dial recalls historic military references, placing greater emphasis on legibility.

The signature sandwich construction reveals warm beige Super-LumiNova, creating a vintage-inspired appearance in daylight while glowing bright green after dark. The small seconds display at 9 o’clock, another hallmark of early Panerai dive watches, serves both aesthetic and functional purposes by allowing the wearer to instantly verify that the movement is running.
Proven Mechanics
Behind the solid caseback beats the automatic Calibre P.9010, offering a 72-hour power reserve through its twin-barrel architecture. Operating at 4 Hz (28,800 vph), the movement also features an independently adjustable hour hand, enabling quick time-zone changes without affecting the precision of the minutes or stopping the movement.

Ready For Land And Sea
Panerai equips the PAM01707 with a brown vintage calf leather strap featuring beige stitching for everyday wear, while a second black rubber strap is included for diving or more demanding activities.

The Panerai Luminor Marina PAM01707 is now available as part of the brand’s permanent collection with a retail price of € 15,200.
