Panerai Brings Six New Radiomir
There were six novelties presented by Panerai this year at Watches and Wonders and although there were no big surprises, we have to highlight the brand’s effort for sustainability through its “Brunito eSteel” case made of 95% recycled steel that is present in three of the new references.
Radiomir Quaranta Goldtech PAM01026
It is of all the new references the one we liked the most.
The new PAM01026 despite the precious material of the case is discreet and elegant, and the one that wears smaller on the wrist.
On the outside, it is presented in a 40mm diameter and 10mm thick Goldtech case, a gold alloy that also incorporates platinum and copper, sapphire glass on the front and on the case back and 50m of water resistance.
The sunburst silver dial features the typical sandwich construction, a date window and small seconds at 3 and 6 o’clock respectively and two central gold hands.
Equipped inside with the Caliber P.900 automatic movement, which operates at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 72 hours of power reserve.
The watch is attached to a brown alligator strap priced at €18,500.
Radiomir 8 Giorni PAM01347, PAM01348 and PAM01349
The model launched in 1958 now appears in the form of three new references, all of them sharing on the outside the same 45mm case made of recycled steel that we talked about above and which comes with 100m of water resistance, a dial with a gradient effect with blue hands, and inside with the P.5000 manual movement that runs 21,600 Vph and offers, as the name implies, 8 days (192 hours) of power reserve.
However, there are some differences between the three new references. So while the first two come with a blue or brown dial with the sandwich layer construction and a small seconds at 9 o’clock, the third reference features the California dial in a green tone with the traditional Roman and Arabic numerals, two central hands and without the small seconds.
The three references are exclusive to the brand’s boutique and can be purchased at a price of €9,900 for the first two references and €12,500 for the third reference.
Radiomir Annual Calendar PAM01363 and PAM01432
These two new references are presented in a 45mm case in gold with a blue dial or in platinum with a red dial and both with a gradient effect. The dial features a layout with a day-date window at 3 o’clock, a small seconds at 9 and a round dial that indicates the month via a rotating disc that marks the respective month via a triangle next to the date window.
Inside, the P.9000/AC automatic movement operates at a frequency of 4 Hz and offers up to 72 hours of power reserve.
Both watches are exclusive boutique models and can be had for €40,000 and €90,000 respectively.
