Oscars Spotlight: Rolex Surprises With Day-Date 40 Everose Edition
The first big news of 2024 from Rolex has been revealed and it is a special edition of the Day-Date 40mm in Everose.
The announcement took place during the 2024 Oscars ceremony, and it was not due to any leak but discreetly by the brand, as the brand is a cinema partner of the Academy Awards and a sponsor of The Oscar Green Room.
It was in a clip titled “Every Hero Needs An Ally” that brings together scenes from different movies and TV shows from recent years with several protagonists wearing different Rolex watches, accompanied by a motivating and encouraging speech, that in the end we are treated to the image of a new Rolex Day-Date 40 Everose Gold.
Apart from the main image there is not much information about this release, by what we can see, it is a 40mm Oyster Perpetual Day-Date in Everose Gold (the rose gold alloy owned by Rolex) feature a fluted bezel, and which comes with a grey sunburst dial or if you prefer, as the brand calls it, an “Ombré Slate Dial” with Roman numerals and which, at different angles and exposure to light, alternates between black and grey tones.
