Oris Unveils New 38MM Divers Sixty-Five With In-House Caliber 400
This is another Oris novelty that was revealed to the press during the last edition of Watches And Wonders and was under embargo until today, so we had the opportunity to experience it first-hand.
The new Oris 38mm Divers Sixty-Five without a date is the first to receive the In-House Caliber 400 in that format if we exclude of course the limited edition produced for Hodinkee in 2021.
The watch now arrives with a contemporary look supported by a metallic bezel instead of the classic black that we had previously seen in the Cotton-Candy collection and with a beautiful green dial with white accents.
Wearing a 38mm by 12.60mm round stainless steel case with a mainly brushed finish, unidirectional bezel with steel insert and embossed scale, sapphire crystal, polished fluted crown at 3 o’clock with the brand’s signature, screwed open case back and 100m waterproof.
On the green sunburst dial that almost turns black toward the edges, we find applied hour markers and pencil hands filled with Super-LumiNova, a white minute track, a lollipop centre seconds hand and the white inscriptions with the brand’s lettering at noon and “10BAR / 100M” followed by “5 DAYS” at 6 o’clock regarding water resistance and power reserve.
As we have already said, in its heart now lives the powerful Caliber 400 with 31 jewels, which guarantees an accuracy of -3/+5 seconds per day, running at 28,800 Vph and offering up to 5 days of power reserve announced on the dial.
The dive watch comes on a traditional steel bracelet with rivets and a folding clasp, which, like the case, has a brushed finish.
The new Oris 38mm Divers Sixty-Five is now part of the permanent collection of the brand, is priced at €3,600 and can be found in the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers.
