Oris Teams Up with ©Disney Muppets Kermit to Bring a Fun Propilot
Probably is one of the fun surprises of the WandW venue, If you’re like me who lives childhood with the Muppets cartoons you understand why, the vibrant green dial and the ©Disney Muppets Frog at the date window at 6 o’clock, that visits the dial on the first day of each month, put a huge smile on your face.
Through this release, Oris tries to ask people for 1 minute to tell their story, which translates into more than 119 years of producing mechanical watches, the development of more than 280 calibres, the current movement creation program of 10 new movements in 10 years and “Many” change for the better collaborations. In the end, and as the brand states “If an Oris watch can make someone’s day better, we’ve done our job”.
So the new Oris Propilot X Kermit Edition comes dressed in a 39mm titanium case, with a satin and sandblasted finishes, sapphire crystal, titanium screw-in security crown and case back, and 100 meters of water resistance.
Over the green dial and beyond the ©Disney Muppets Frog at 6 o’clock window rest hour markers and hands all filled with Super-LumiNova.
Inside it comes equipped with the Caliber 400 automatic movement, which runs at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 120 days of power reserve.
Lastly, the fun Oris Propilot X Kermit Edition is attached to a titanium bracelet with the Oris-patented “LIFT” folding clasp.
Our Opinion
In a world flooded with unhappy news, anything that makes us smile is cause for celebration, and this edition of the Oris Propilot with ©Disney Muppets Frog is a good example of that.
However, we cannot fail to mention the small size of the date window, which makes it very difficult to visualize the ©Disney Muppets Kermit, which is the least positive point, when it should be the highlight of the watch.
