Since its founding in 1904 in the Hölstein region, Oris has been linked to the world through the historic Waldenburgerbahn railway line, which over the years has served to carry generations of watchmakers, playing a vital role in the development of Oris. It is in this context that the Swiss watch brand is now introducing us to the new Oris Waldenburgerbahn limited edition, paying tribute to this railway.
This limited edition of 1,000 pieces is part of the Big Crown Pointer Date collection which is offered in a 40mm stainless steel case and black dial.
Featuring outside the traditional case with a fluted bezel and crown, polished and brushed finish, sapphire crystal and a solid case back that comes engraved with the image of an old Waldenburgerbahn steam locomotive and the limited edition number.
On the dial, we can find the usual arrangement of Arabic hour numerals, a minute railway track and a date outer ring all painted in white, complemented by cathedral central hands and a pointer date with a red tip.
Inside there is nothing new, operating the Caliber 754 automatic movement, based on the Sellita SW200-1A operates at 28,800 Vph and offers up to 38 hours of power reserve.
The watch comes with a brown deer leather strap Cervo Volante, in a special packaging that also includes a leather travel bag, a cardholder and a cleaning cloth that comes with a map of the Hölstein region.
This limited edition is already available in the brand’s official boutiques and authorized retailers and can be purchased for a price of €2,100.
