Oris Hölstein Edition 2025: A Stealthy ProPilot With A Playful Glow
Oris marks its birthday once again with the release of the Hölstein Edition 2025, the sixth iteration in its annual series of limited-edition timepieces. This year’s release builds on the ProPilot platform, offering a bold monochromatic aesthetic and a surprising visual feature that reveals itself only in the dark.

A Matte Black Exterior with Crisp White Contrast
The foundation of the Hölstein Edition 2025 is a 41 mm ProPilot case, finished entirely in black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. At just 11.90 mm thick, the case maintains a refined profile while embracing a utilitarian, aviation-inspired look.

What immediately stands out is the white dial, fully coated in Super-LumiNova, offering maximum legibility in low-light environments. The dial features matte black applied numerals, a black minute track, and a matching matte black handset — all working together to create a stark contrast with the luminous surface.
Hidden Details Revealed at Night
While the watch maintains a minimalist, stealthy aesthetic in daylight, it reveals an unexpected detail in the dark. As the lume activates, a subtle silhouette of the Oris Bear head emerges between the 3 and 4 o’clock markers — a nod to the brand’s mascot and its playful spirit. The rest of the dial glows in the familiar green hue associated with Super-LumiNova.

Powered by the In-House Calibre 400
Inside the case is the Oris Calibre 400, an in-house automatic movement developed to meet the needs of modern mechanical watch wearers. It delivers an impressive 120-hour (5-day) power reserve, ensuring reliable performance over extended periods without winding. Additionally, it offers high resistance to magnetic fields and features a recommended service interval of 10 years. Oris backs the movement with a 10-year warranty, reflecting confidence in its durability and long-term precision.

The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, which includes a luminous printed ring that marks the edition name and year. The outer steel ring is engraved with the individual limited edition number — from 001 to 250 — reinforcing the model’s exclusivity.
Strap and Clasp
The watch comes fitted with a textile strap lined with leather, designed for comfort while retaining a rugged look. It secures with Oris’s signature “LIFT” folding clasp, which, like the case, is also finished in black DLC. The uniformity of materials and finishes gives the watch a cohesive, modern character.
