Oris Divers Sixty-Five Turns 60: Discover The Enhanced Divers Date Collection
Celebrating 60 years of diving excellence, Oris introduces the new Divers Date collection, coinciding with the anniversary of the iconic Divers Sixty-Five. This fresh release marks a significant milestone, combining heritage with modern enhancements.
Key Features of the Oris Divers Date Collection
The latest Oris Divers Date comes in three dial colours: black, blue, and beige, offering a contemporary twist on the classic look. With a redesigned 39mm stainless steel case, this model is more compact and heavier, boosting its robustness. The case features a combination of brushed surfaces and polished sides, with a unidirectional bezel incorporating a matte black ceramic insert for durability. The domed sapphire crystal adds to the classic aesthetic, while the screw-down crown and screw-open case back enhance functionality.
A standout feature is the doubled water resistance, now at 200 meters (660 feet), a significant improvement over previous models, which divers and enthusiasts alike will appreciate.
Dial & Movement
The dial retains its signature style, with applied indexes featuring bevelled edges, white Super-LumiNova filling for superior legibility, and a date window at 6 o’clock. Notably, the faux patina in earlier models is replaced, offering a cleaner, more modern look. The minute/second track on the rehaut and brand inscriptions complete the dial, with the proud “200m / 660ft” water resistance marking.
Inside the watch, Oris continues with the Caliber 733, based on the Sellita SW200-1 movement. While reliable, this 26-jewel movement offers 41 hours of power reserve, which might leave some enthusiasts wanting more.
Bracelet & Strap Options
The Divers Date collection features a 3-link steel rivet bracelet with a quick-change system for versatility, along with a black rubber strap and steel pin buckle for those seeking a sportier look.
Pricing & Availability
The new Oris Divers Date collection is available now in Oris boutiques and authorized retailers, priced at €2,450—consistent with previous models in the Sixty-Five Date lineup.
Our Take
The revamped case and ceramic bezel insert, along with the enhanced water resistance, are definite improvements. However, the Caliber 733 with a 41-hour power reserve feels outdated, especially when compared to competitors offering more. Oris has mentioned the more robust Caliber 400 as an alternative, but with a higher price tag, it’s time for the brand to consider a more affordable, yet powerful movement for its future models.
