Oris expands its Big Crown collection with a new interpretation of the Big Crown Calibre 113, combining one of the brand’s most advanced in-house movements with a bold dial execution in mint green and rose pink. This release brings technical sophistication and a playful twist to a model known for its functional heritage.
Case and Design
The watch is housed in a 43 mm stainless steel case, measuring 13.50 mm thick with a lug-to-lug of 50.50 mm. The case offers 5 bar (50m) water resistance and features a smooth bezel for a clean profile. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inside protects the dial, while a screw-down steel crown ensures reliable operation.
The dial is where this Big Crown truly stands out. The mint-green background is paired with rose-pink subdials, displaying small seconds at 9 o’clock and the non-linear power reserve at 3 o’clock. Applied indices and hands feature luminescent material for readability in low light. On the outer edge, a pointer hand indicates the week number, complemented by a month display, transforming the dial into a full business calendar.
Movement: Oris Calibre 113
At the heart of the watch is the hand-wound Calibre 113, part of Oris’s series of in-house developed movements first introduced in 2017. The calibre is visible through the sapphire crystal case back and offers a remarkable set of functions. In addition to the standard hours, minutes, and seconds, the movement provides a day and date display, a week indication with a month reference on the outer perimeter of the dial, and a power reserve that lasts for an impressive 10 days. The power reserve display is non-linear, meaning that the spacing between the markings becomes wider as the remaining energy decreases, giving the wearer a clearer picture of how much time is left before the watch needs winding.
Bracelet and Wearability
The new Big Crown Calibre 113 is fitted with a three-link stainless steel bracelet, which is secured by an Oris-developed folding clasp designed for both comfort and reliability.
