Oris Adds Khaki Green Dial To Sixty-Five Collection
This is the green year, as I have already written here several times, the wave of green watches is back, which makes me very happy, not only because green symbolizes nature, harmony and tranquillity but also because it is the colour of my football team, the Sporting Clube de Portugal, which this year won the league.
It hasn’t even been two weeks since Oris announced the launch of the new Sixty-Five 38mm with a green dial and metallic bezel, which if you haven’t had the opportunity to read about yet, we now invite you to do so via this link, and today introduces a new Sixty-Five 40mm with a khaki green dial and matching bezel.
The new shade of green that fills the dial of the new Oris is inspired by the Waldenburg valley that surrounds the headquarters of the “Teddy Bear” watch brand.
The latest dive watch from the Sixty-Five line, like its siblings, is housed in a round stainless steel case with dimensions of 40mm in diameter, 12.80mm in thickness and 48mm lug-to-lug distance, featuring a mainly brushed finish, 60-minute unidirectional bezel with khaki green aluminium insert and pip lume at 12 o’clock, double domed sapphire glass, screw-down crown at 3 o’clock with the brand’s logo, screwed solid case back and 100m water resistance.
The khaki-green dial features a gradient effect with the tones intensifying as it expands outwards, which is adorned with applied hour markers and three centre hands all filled with Super-LumiNova, a date window with a white background at 6 o’clock combining with the minute track and the inscriptions of the brand’s at noon and the waterproof at 6 o’clock.
Inside and unlike the other Sixty-Five that we have already talked about above which came with the In-House Caliber 400, it is equipped with the Caliber 733 based on the Sellita SW200-1 which runs 28,800 Vph and offers up to 41h of power reserve that can be easily identified as it comes with a rotor partially painted red, which is not possible to reveal here as it is covered.
The watch comes on the usual 3-row steel bracelet with retro-style rivets and a folding clasp.
The new Sixty-Five 40mm now joins the Oris permanent collection and arrives at a more accessible price due to its more modest Caliber with a price of €2,450.
Our Opinion
It seems like a good addition to the collection with a beautiful green dial and at a more attractive price for all those who don’t want to break the budget.
Although the collection already has several models with a green dial, it is an absolute debut in the khaki-green tone, thus increasing the range of options for its audience.
As there are no new features, everything is said for now.
