To mark its 75th anniversary, Orient introduces the Revival Collection World Map, a limited-edition timepiece inspired by the brand’s 1969 classic. With a distinctive retro design and innovative world time function, it stands out as one of Orient’s most visually striking releases in years, all while remaining remarkably affordable at under € 473.

Design and Dial

The World Map features a retro-inspired dial with a world map centered on the South Pole. Unlike decorative maps on some world timers, this map is fully functional. Colored bands—white, orange, and yellow—indicate time zones, while red markers denote major cities around the globe.

A rotating inner 24-hour bezel, controlled via a second crown, allows the wearer to align their local time and instantly read the time across all other time zones. The 75th-anniversary edition adds subtle gilt accents and a script Orient logo reminiscent of the 1950s, giving the watch a vintage flair while maintaining practicality.

Case and Build

The Revival World Map follows the classic format of previous editions, featuring a cushion-shaped stainless steel case measuring 43.50 mm wide by 13.90 mm thick. The watch includes two gold-colored crowns that complement the thin coin-edge bezel, along with a screwed solid case back. With 200m water resistance, this watch is built for both style and everyday durability.

The dial layout mirrors the original 1969 World Diver, combining faceted hands filled with lume, applied hour markers, a day-date window at 3 o’clock, and a black roulette-style 24-hour inner bezel for quick reference across time zones.

Movement and Performance

At the heart of the watch lies Orient’s 22-jewel F6922 automatic movement, operating at 21,600 Vph with a power reserve of up to 40 hours. The movement supports hand-winding, hacking seconds, and a quickset for day and date, ensuring precise and reliable performance for daily wear and travel.

The watch comes on a 20 mm multi-link stainless steel bracelet with a tri-fold deployant buckle, providing comfort and a secure fit while complementing the watch’s retro-inspired aesthetic.
