Omega’s Latest Tribute To The Paris 2024 Games: Bronze Gold Edition
The Tik-Tak countdown to the start of the Paris Olympic Games has begun and Omega, the Official Timekeeper of the event for the 31st time, presents the 3rd watch dedicated to the event.
The new Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition is the epilogue to a trio of releases that began with the Seamaster Diver 300M Paris 2024 and later extended to the Chronoscope Paris 2024, all paying homage to the three Olympic medals – Gold, Silver and Bronze.
The new watch is based on the re-edition CK 859 presented by Omega two years ago inspired by the vintage watch from 1939, which like the original comes with a sector dial.
It wears a round case made of the bronze gold brand alloy that features 39mm in diameter, 11.70mm in thickness and 46.20mm in length, smooth bezel, sapphire glass, fluted crown with the brand’s signature, solid case back embossed with the logo of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the mention “BG 859” of the original watch and lastly 30m water resistance.
The solid AG 925 silver dial presents a Clous de Paris centre with Arabic numerals, 18k Sedna Gold with a bronze gold PVD centre hands and the antique brand logo and lettering at noon. Followed by an outer ring with a circular brushed finish on which the rest two railway minute tracks and a small second at 6 o’clock cross the two sections and which follows the same formula as the central dial.
At its heart runs the In-house Caliber 8926 hand-wound which is Master Chronometer Certified and features a silicon balance spring and co-axial escapement, operating at a frequency of 3.5 Hz and offering 3 days of power reserve.
The new Omega arrives attached to a brown leather strap with a bronze pin buckle in a special but not limited edition priced at € 13,500.
