Omega Brings New Light To The Dark Side Of The Moon
Omega has unveiled the latest chapter in its Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon series, introducing four new ceramic models that bring subtle refinements to one of the brand’s most distinctive chronograph lines. With variations in movement, case finishing, and color accents, this 2025 update enhances the technical and aesthetic diversity of the collection without altering its bold DNA.
All new editions share a 44.25 mm ceramic case, 50 mm lug-to-lug, and 15.09 mm thickness, combining lightweight durability with the modern proportions that define the Dark Side of the Moon identity. Each model offers 50 meters of water resistance and can be paired with either a textile or rubber strap, secured by a ceramised titanium and ceramic foldover clasp.
Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon 9900 Auto (Dark/White)
Ref. 310.92.44.51.01.002 / 004

This model embodies the most traditional Dark Side of the Moon aesthetic. The fully black ceramic case and bezel are complemented by crisp white detailing for maximum contrast and legibility. Inside beats the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 9900, an automatic movement certified by METAS for magnetic resistance and precision.

Featuring a two-register chronograph layout and a date display at six o’clock, the Caliber 9900 provides a 60-hour power reserve and beats at 4 Hz. A Liquidmetal tachymeter scale completes the look, merging cutting-edge materials with Omega’s classic racing chronograph heritage. Priced at € 15,400.

Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon “Grey Side of the Moon” (Skeletonized)
Ref. 310.92.44.50.06.001 / 002

Inspired by astronaut Jim Lovell’s description of the Moon as “essentially grey,” this model introduces a lighter tone across its ceramic case and skeletonized dial. The grey ceramic case measures 12.97 mm thick, giving it a slightly slimmer profile than other versions.

The dial and movement are intricately laser-ablated to depict the lunar surface, finished with diamond-cut engraving, matte screws, and satin-brushed details. Powering the watch is the hand-wound Caliber 3869, a Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement with a 50-hour power reserve and a beat rate of 3 Hz.
This reference continues Omega’s tradition of fusing mechanical artistry with celestial inspiration, now presented in a more restrained and monochromatic tone. Priced at € 16,200.

Like the Dark/White version, it is powered by the automatic Caliber 9900, delivering 60 hours of power reserve and METAS-certified precision.

Despite its all-black appearance, legibility is maintained through a combination of laser-etched details and contrasting finishes on the dial elements. Priced at € 15,800.
