Norqain Introduces The Independence Wild One Meteorite Limited Edition
Norqain continues to strengthen its reputation as a young but ambitious independent watchmaker with the introduction of the Independence Wild One Meteorite, a limited-edition model that highlights both the brand’s material innovation and its growing technical capabilities. Founded in 2018, Norqain has quickly built an identity around robust, adventure-oriented timepieces. The Wild One series represents the brand’s most advanced case construction to date, and this new meteorite-dial edition adds a striking extraterrestrial element to the collection.

A Multi-Layer Case Engineered for Shock Resistance
At the core of the Independence Wild One is a highly technical case structure composed of 25 individual components. Norqain’s approach centers on a titanium capsule that houses the movement. This capsule is enclosed by a custom rubber shock absorber, which is then surrounded by an outer frame crafted from Norteq, the brand’s proprietary carbon-fibre composite developed for maximum lightness and durability.

For the Meteorite edition, the watch features a 42mm case that measures 12.30mm in thickness. The exterior is produced in burgundy-coloured Norteq, while the shock-absorbing layer is executed in grey rubber. A double sapphire-crystal construction protects the dial and movement, and the combination of materials keeps the weight to roughly half that of a stainless steel Norqain of similar size. The design also includes signature Wild One attributes such as exposed screws at the lugs, protective bumpers along both sides, and a burgundy Norteq nameplate positioned on the left flank of the case. The entire structure has been tested to withstand impacts of up to 5,000G, reinforcing the model’s suitability for high-intensity use.
Unique Meteorite Dial
The most striking feature of this limited edition is its dial, which is made from an authentic slice of iron meteorite. The naturally occurring Widmanstätten pattern, created as the meteorite cooled over millions of years, gives each of the 300 watches a one-of-a-kind crystalline texture. The dial is finished with black, partially openworked hour markers that carry luminous dots at their outer tips. The central hour and minute hands follow the same openworked concept and include Super-LumiNova at their tips for legibility in low light. The seconds hand is styled in a similar manner, and the brand name along with the chronometer indication appears in clean white print.

Kenissi-Built Chronometer Movement
Inside the watch is the Norqain calibre NN20/1, a movement developed in collaboration with Kenissi, one of the most respected manufacturers in the industry. This automatic calibre operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of 70 hours. It is certified as a chronometer by the COSC and incorporates a transverse balance bridge designed to improve stability. The rear crystal beyond the brand logo also carries printed markings reading “Special Edition” and “Meteorite,” distinguishing it from the standard Wild One models.

Integrated Rubber Strap
Norqain has moved away from the use of animal-based materials, and the Independence Wild One Meteorite is delivered on an integrated rubber strap. The strap features a textured pattern and is presented with a burgundy Norteq pin buckle as standard. A black DLC-coated titanium folding clasp is available as an optional upgrade.

Availability and Pricing
The Norqain Independence Wild One Meteorite is strictly limited to 300 pieces. It is priced at CHF 5,950 when purchased with the pin buckle, while the version equipped with the black DLC titanium folding clasp is priced at CHF 6,300.
