NOMOS Presents The New Metropolitan Glamour Metro 33
After seeing the arrival of the Nomos Club Sport Neomatik in Earth tones last month, it is now time for the German brand watchmaker to present the new Metro 33 Metropolitan Glamor Collection.
The new Metro arrives in a 33mm stainless steel case and with three new colour variants on the dial: ‘All Silver’, ‘Muted Red’ and ‘Sage.
According to Mark Braun, Nomos designer, the new colours are inspired by images of the Big City, portraying the gleaming facades (all silver), the red brick buildings of Brooklyn (muted red) and the green of the parks or the Statue of Liberty ( sage).
In addition to the distinctive colours, each of the three new Nomos stands out for coming with unique details, with the ‘All Silver’ featuring a gleaming dial, the ‘Muted Red’ with the minute track and the small pointer seconds in pink, and the ‘Sage’ featuring the same details as ‘Muted Red’ but in yellow.
All other features of the collection remain the same, embracing outside a 33mm round-shaped case, sapphire crystal on the front, steel or sapphire case back, the Metro crown with its Diamond knurling at 3 o’clock and 30m water resistance. The dial in addition to the printed minute track and Dots hour markers, two central syringe-shaped hands and a small seconds at 6 o’clock that now appears underneath.
Inside, it continues to come equipped with the 17-jewel Caliber Alpha manual movement that offers up to 43 hours of power reserve.
The three new watches are attached to a vegan velour leather strap in light grey.
Our Opinion
After being pleased with the earth tones of the new Club Sport Neomatik, the new Metro 33 is once again a good surprise with three very appealing colours that also seem to be excellent options for the Autumn Winter season.
Although the new watches do not bring anything new, the three new tones combined with the unique details of each of the variants prove that it is not necessary to make major revolutions to bring fresh air to the collection.
And even though it seems implicit in our words, we reinforce the idea that we really liked the new Metropolitan Glamor collection.
